This Secluded 4 bedroom 2 bath Mountain Retreat, on a 5 acre parcel, is like renting your own Private State Park. The Cabin is within easy (4 minutes) walking distance to Slick Rock Mountains private 12 acre swimming and fishing lake! This 2 story family cabin comfortably sleeps 8. Upstairs is an open floor plan, living room/ kitchen/ dining room with King master bedroom and full bathroom. Downstairs is a 3 bedroom (queen, double, and trundle=2 twins) with another full bathroom and washer dryer. Also the downstairs has been recently remodeled with brand new wood tile flooring throughout. The cabin is loaded with all kinds of modern amenities, like flat screen televisions, wifi, huge fireplace and a well stocked kitchen!
The many porches give you an "in the woods getaway feel" and the outdoor fire pit, picnic tables, bbq grill and chairs make it a perfect summer camp for your family. We regularly have deer and White Squirrels all around the cabin.. pretty amazing wildlife :)
Slick Rock Mountain is a Private 350 acre mountain located in Brevard NC. This quiet, back to nature community, is perfectly located to enjoy DuPont state forest 6.8 miles away (where the movie Hunger Games was filmed) as well as Pisgah National Forest (10 miles) and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Brevard's slogan is "Land of Waterfalls" and for good reason, there are many amazing hikes to these beautiful waterfalls and many other outdoor activities for nature lovers young and old, from mountain biking, river rafting, horseback riding, hiking, fishing or just relaxing on the deck to watch a gorgeous sunset.

We would love for you to come have an amazing, relaxing, adventurous vacation of a lifetime at our cabin!!

Beautiful cabin in the forest.

This is a beautiful cabin nestled in the forest. We enjoyed everything about it, inside and out. It was a short drive to all the waterfalls, covered bridges, shops, restaurants, and much more. It was very clean and very well furnished. Would definitely recommend!

This was one of our favorite places we’ve stayed. Great location, beautiful property and deer out the window. My kids loved watching the deer at breakfast and dinner!

Amazing location

We loved out stay at the cabin, the easy access to the lake for swimming. Our 2 year old loved the beach, swing and slide. The mushrooms growing all over the woods around the cabin were amazing too.

This was the most stocked cabin we’ve ever stayed in. Great location in a peaceful wooded setting. The white squirrels were amazing to watch. Brevard is a beautiful area to explore. I would definitely recommend this cabin!

Great cabin, wonderful lake for swimming and fishing. Loved the place!!

We would definitely rent this cabin again. We used fire pit every night and the kids loved everything; the wildlife, lake, playing board games. Fun, fun time.

Great location!

The cabin is perfect for small and large groups. It is also easy to get to downtown Brevard and hiking trails while still giving you a secluded feel. The multiple porches are nice and the grill pit came in handy. We would definitely return!

Family Reunion Getaway

Perfect spot to hang out, swim, enjoy nature, and relax! We met up with several relatives and the house had everything we needed to grill out, enjoy s'mores in the evening, and get out during the day to enjoy the lake and surrounding forest.

October family get together

Enjoyed our stay. It was a great place to gather, visit the national park, hike and fish. Kitchen was very well equipped, beds comfy, and very quiet. Lots of deer and white squirrels. Highly recommend.

Great Property, great time.

The property was clean and pretty spacious and very private. The road to it is one lane and steep but otherwise well maintained. The property manager and owner is very helpful.

The roads are very well maintained by the road chairman on the mountain and they do an excellent job! 80% of the roads are paved on the mountain but We still like some gravel here and there to let you know you’re in the woods :) Please come back when you hear the mountains calling!

Amazing place

The house is in a great location. Deer in the yard in the mornings. Not far from town but feels like it’s miles from anywhere. Nice fire pit. Lake is beautiful!!

Perfect getaway

Cozy cabin, clean, tucked away but at the same time with easy access to multiple trails and beautiful waterfalls. Within minutes from Dollar General for essentials, otherwise 17 minutes from the town of Brevard.
