Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding your reservation. The only reason we requested an alternate form of payment was because a chargeback had been initiated with your credit card company while you were still occupying the property. Once a chargeback is filed, the funds are no longer available to us, despite the reservation remaining active. This is why we requested payment to cover the stay while the matter was being resolved. Regarding the kitchen knives, they were not in the master bedroom drawer when you arrived. As part of our standard pre-arrival inspection, we take photographs of the home, and those photos confirm the knives were not present in that location prior to your check-in. The knives were discovered only after law enforcement assisted with your departure from the property. Prior to their arrival, you had removed the front door lock in order to continue accessing the home after your access had been disabled due to the non-payment of the reservation. We strive to provide a positive experience for all of our guests and handle payment issues in accordance with the booking platform's policies and applicable procedures. We regret that this situation occurred and believe it is important that the facts surrounding this reservation are accurately represented.
