About this property
The Palms of Del Rio-History at Its Best
Enjoy modern convenience in a historical setting. This 1889 home boasts four bedrooms, a movie room, spa room, as well as a modern kitchen. View the hand-painted tile from Southern Mexico (original to the home), soak in a claw foot tub, and catch a game of cards in our game room. We have it all!
This historical home has 5 bathrooms, each with a tub. Two tubs in the lower level of the home have shower attachments. The two tubs upstairs have hand held shower attachments (please see the pictures). We have worked hard to maintain the historical importance of this 1889 home, from the hand painted tile to the original tongue in groove floors on the second floor. Please do not expect a brand new space or new furniture. Much of the home has been decorated using antiques from our home and those from around the area. This home is over 5,000 square foot, with high ceilings and large gathering spaces. A maximum of 9 guests are allowed, unless you make prior arrangements.
We hope you enjoy this unique and historical home!

About the host
Hosted by Jenny Powell
My husband and I are both educators. We love history and are happy to welcome you to this historic home!
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood is unique to Del Rio. The road in front of the home was once a gravel lane. This is the oldest area of the town and contains many lovely homes. It is also close to downtown and centrally located.
What makes this property unique
Stay in this 1889 historical home and see the original hand painted tile from Southern Mexico, view the custom mediterranean wood ceilings, and inspect the paintings from Mrs. Foster. It is truly a unique home!
