We had a comfortable three-week stay here. The host was incredibly prompt and responsive, and they took care of the couple of minor issues we had at check-in so quickly. We really appreciated how easy they were to communicate with throughout our stay.The bed was soft and comfortable, and there was plenty of storage for a longer stay, which we really appreciated. We appreciated the elevator. The location was also great for us—we loved being close to Charlotte and downtown Matthews. Also the pool was fantastic!The main downside was that the kitchen is very bare-bones. There aren’t really any basic pantry items, including salt and pepper, and there were just enough plates, pots, and pans for minimal use. We made it work for three weeks, but a few additional amenities would have made a longer stay much easier, such as a second kitchen towel, a few more pot and pan sizes, and some basic seasonings.One other thing to be aware of is that the building hallway has a strong marijuana smell throughout the day and night. This is not the fault of the apartment—the smell never came into the unit itself—but it was noticeable immediately whenever we stepped into the hallway, so guests who are sensitive to smells may want to keep that in mind.Overall, we had a comfortable stay and really enjoyed the location. The responsive host and convenient location made for a good experience, and with a few small kitchen additions, we think the space would be even better suited for extended stays.
