The home is beautiful, clean, spacious, well-stocked, and in a great location with beautiful mountain views. However, there are a few things I wish I had known before booking. The listing does mention there is no AC, but it’s buried near the bottom. I understand many homes in Pagosa Springs don’t have air conditioning, but this should be much more prominent. Even though nighttime temperatures dropped into the 50s and 60s, the house retained a lot of heat. The ceiling fans and industrial fans only circulated the warm air, making it very difficult to sleep. My son and I became sick during our trip and ended up leaving a day early because recovering in the heat was unbearable. Had I realized how warm the house would stay, I would have booked elsewhere. While the home sleeps many people, the bathroom layout isn’t ideal. The two upstairs bedrooms share one very small bathroom, which felt cramped even with only three people. We also experienced smoke/CO detector issues on our first day. Before the hardwired detectors were removed, I requested the fire department verify there was no carbon monoxide present. After they confirmed everything was safe, the management company replaced them with battery-operated detectors in each room. I appreciated their responsiveness, but I don’t think guests should have to advocate for that level of safety verification.Overall, the home has potential, but the heat, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, and bathroom setup made our stay far less enjoy
