Secluded Mountainside Cabin, Close to Town, No 4 wheel drive needed! Hot Tub!

Well maintained mountain home lovingly built by its owners! Very peaceful and secluded on a private road just up the mountain from town. Comfortable 3 story home with loft and 3rd BR has its own private balcony! Covered porches, hot tub, fire pit, picnic table and charcoal grill make the most of the outdoors and beautiful ridge views!
Master Bedroom and bath is on the main floor with separate tub and shower. Great room has vaulted ceilings with a wood burning stone fireplace. Open kitchen with exposed beams, SS appliances, granite counter tops and well stocked cabinets for all your cooking needs. Smart TV and VCR with videos movies. WiFi.
Two bedrooms upstairs with a full bath and a separate loft area for games and puzzles or to just chill.
2 bedrooms have comfortable queen pillow top mattresses with quality linens; the master has a new memory foam queen mattress.

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Reset thermostats at check out to 78 in summer and 62 in winter please.
Make sure water hoses are off and in winter remove hose from valve.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please do not leave the fire pit or fire place unattended. Make sure fires are completely out and fireplace ashes are removed.
There is no garbage pickup, so please see disposal instructions on the side of the refrigerator.
Do not encourage the neighbors pets. Shoo them away, please.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, well-maintained cabin. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing week in the mountains. The location was perfect- close to Bryson City downtown and several great spots to explore. We especially enjoyed riding the train, visiting nearby towns, and seeing the Highland cows at Walnut Creek Farm, which was our daughter’s favorite part of the trip. The peaceful setting and gorgeous views made it the perfect family getaway. Highly recommend!

Cabin was very cozy, kitchen well-stocked. Beautiful place. One of the bedrooms has a very squeaky, saggy mattress but that's the only issue. We didn't use the hot tub - maybe if it was easier to get to. Didn't make a fire outside bc we were too tired from long busy days! Great location near everything. Loved it!

The stay at Sunset Ridge was phenomenal! It was so much more than I expected. The owners were exceptionally responsive and helpful. The place is secluded as the description says but you can hear neighbors in the distance but they can’t be seen. I can’t wait to come back for another stay.

I just want to say that this was the best stay ever. The home was clean and well stock with everything you will need for cooking. But if you are a person that need to sleep with a tv, this is not the place for you no tv in the rooms. But that was the best sleep i eber had. The best part was the porch swing.

The pictures do not do the cabin justice, it is beautiful! It is beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed our stay. The views are amazing on the porch! We sat on the porch drinking coffee and it was so relaxing! It's close to town yet tucked away from everything! Definitely will go again.

This home is by far the most well maintained property with great mountain views that my family has stayed in near Bryson City. It is convenient to shopping and family activities. It’s the perfect family getaway cabin. We’ve stayed at Sunset Ridge multiple times and look forward to the next visit.

We love this cabin. It was our 4th time staying there.

The cabin is always great. We love going into Bryson City and riding the train, hiking to the waterfall’s and the road to nowhere. It’s also close to NOC where we go rafting. We always enjoy our stay. The owners are easy to dealing with.

Beautiful location, lovely house

The cabin is perfectly located. It is secluded, yet a short drive from beautiful hiking trails and downtown Bryson. It is just as pictured: nicely decorated, very clean, well stocked,, and comfortable with lots of outdoor seating on the wrap around porch to relax and take in the views and fresh air. We couldn't be happier with our stay.

We stayed here for the weekend for the Polar Express. Very close to the depot. Cabin had all we needed for cooking and relaxing before the ride. Beds were very comfortable and the area is quiet.

We like the best of 2 worlds...the tropics and the mountains. Since we live in Florida, the tropical part is easy. We also love the mountains and it was a dream come true to be able to build our mountain cabin!

Why they chose this property

We have always enjoyed camping in the area of the Smoky Mountains and had the opportunity to purchase this piece of property from my husband's cousin. They also have a cabin they use as a vacation rental which we have stayed in. We fell in love with Bryson City and its proximity to outdoor adventures.

What makes this property unique

It took us a year and half to complete our cabin because we did so much work ourselves with family and friends. There is so much sweat equity here and personal satisfaction. We hope you enjoy our vacation home as much as we hope to!
