Welcome to this charming 2,400 sqft traditional adobe home in lush Tesuque Valley. With four bedrooms, including three king beds and a twin day bed with trundle, as well as a queen sofa bed, there’s plenty of rooms to fit the whole family. The home sits on a fully fenced and gated compound allowing your furry friends to join too. The home is wrapped with portals on three sides, offers a bricked courtyard with fire pit, and a grassy lawn providing ample outdoor spaces for guests to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and relax after a day of sightseeing. Two restaurants are within walking distance (Tesuque Valley Market and El Nido), the Santa Fe Opera is 3 miles down the street, and the property is a short easy 6 mile/10 min drive to the Plaza. Stephanie’s Santa Fe casa was much more than expected! The property is huge, the grass is green and lush, and the house is spacious. It’s the perfect place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with the ones you love! All essential items that we weren’t able to travel with were stocked up. Stephanie was very communicative, kind, and helpful! My only piece of advice is to not give up on finding the location! Try to get there during the day. It’s up the hill! You can do it! The adventure to get to the house was absolutely worth it!

The host was quick to respond by email. There was nothing really wrong with the place, it just seemed to be way overpriced compared to other VRBOs I have stayed at. We were in and out so much that we never complained about several issues since we adapted and the owner was so nice. For instance: Pro: The house was part of a gated compound with a large yard for our dogs. Con: The compound was shared with a second house, meaning the security was only good if both families diligently closed the main gate. One morning, we went to let our dogs out and there were 3 large dogs running loose in the yard because the gate was left open. Pro: 5 great seating areas on the deck/patios. Con: Some of the chairs were broken and/or the cushions were so heavily stained, you couldn't use them. Pro: A/C's in each room. Con: They are loud. Pro: 2 1/2 bathrooms. Con: One bathroom had a musty/mildewy smell that permeated into the bedroom. No one wanted to use it so all of us shared one bathroom for showers, and no one would sleep in the room. Pro: Great big soft bath towels in the primary bathroom. Con: Spiders were on them and ants were present.

Hi James, Thank you for your feedback, I am disappointed to learn about these concerns only after your departure. Had you reported any of these items during your stay that did not meet your expectations I would have promptly addressed them. Our listing accurately describes a gated compound with two homes and we ask everyone to ensure the gate is closed. As for price, you choose a week during high season in Santa Fe. If you want something less expensive, I recommend you choose to stay in a less desirable town during off season.
