About this property
Primitive Off-Grid Fishing Cabin on 6 Acres of Florida springs lakefront
Discover a rare opportunity to disconnect and immerse yourself in genuine Old Florida charm at this secluded, primitive studio fishing cabin situated on 6 private acres of pristine lakefront property fed by natural springs.
This open-concept cabin embraces simplicity and self-sufficiency. Electricity is supplied via a power pole with extension cords, while two window air conditioners provide welcome relief from Florida's summer heat. In cooler months, a wood-burning stove offers cozy warmth and a traditional ambiance. The interior remains intentionally rustic, perfect for those seeking an authentic, off-grid experience without modern luxuries.
Water is drawn from a classic hand pump well conveniently located just off the back porch. The cabin's toilet operates on a manual flush system: simply pour water into the tank or directly into the bowl to activate the septic system—a true hallmark of primitive living.
The highlight of this property is its direct access to a beautiful, fish-rich lake teeming with largemouth bass, brim (bluegill), and other delicious panfish. Guests are welcome to launch their own bass boat or enjoy the provided paddle boat waiting on the private beach. Checkout the views of the lake and the excellent bass fishing opportunities awaiting you.
The cabin itself exudes rustic character, as shown in the photos posted. Enjoy the simplicity of the hand pump well on the porch that taps into the spring, and warm yourself by the wood-burning stove during cooler evenings.
Pets are warmly welcomed, though owners should exercise caution with small animals, as a bald eagle breeding area is located approximately 5–7 miles away. While sightings are infrequent, it is a breathtaking experience to watch these majestic birds swoop down from the porch and emerge from the lake with a fish in their talons.
This is not a conventional vacation rental—it is an authentic, back-to-nature retreat for anglers, nature enthusiasts, and those seeking solitude on the water. Ideal for quiet reflection, excellent fishing, and reconnecting with Florida's wild heritage.
We look forward to hosting you for an unforgettable stay.

Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Deborah Tracy
This beautiful land that you will be staying on has been in my family since 1979. It was where my Navy father took us to camp and fish as children. As an adult I brought my own children as they grew up teaching the the same. The is truly a peaceful and unique place.
What makes this property unique
The lake comes from the Florida springs that have made small lake/ponds all over the area. The beautiful white sands by the lake give you a feeling of the beach while being able to enjoy being lakeside.
