Experience All Four Seasons at South Holston Lake
Lake days. Mountain views. Cozy fires. Hot tub nights. Welcome to your South Holston Lake getaway!
Escape to our beautiful lakefront lodge on South Holston Lake, tucked into the gorgeous Holston Mountains and surrounded by some of the best scenery East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia have to offer.
Whether you're planning a summer lake vacation, a colorful fall getaway, a cozy winter weekend, or a spring escape, there's truly something special about this home every season of the year.
Summer on the Lake
Summer is all about the WATER! Bring your boat or rent one nearby and spend your days boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing, or simply relaxing on the private dock.
Cruise the lake, visit nearby marinas, grab a bite at a lakeside restaurant, or head out to Cliff Island, a local favorite where adventurous kids and adults love jumping from the stone ledges into the beautiful clear water.
And when the sun goes down? Head back to the lodge for dinner on the deck, a soak in the hot tub, and a front-row seat to an incredible mountain sunset.
*Fishing requires a valid license.
Fall in the Mountains
Fall might just be one of our favorite times at the lake! The surrounding mountains come alive with beautiful autumn colors, making it the perfect season for hiking, biking, scenic drives, and exploring the nearby Virginia Creeper Trail.
After a day of adventure, come home and relax in the hot tub, gather around the fire pit, roast some s'mores, or cozy up by one of the lodge's stone fireplaces.
Cozy Winter Getaways
There's something magical about South Holston Lake in the winter.
Slow down, pour a cup of hot cocoa, light the gas logs in the stone fireplace, and enjoy the peaceful lake and mountain views. Spend the evening soaking in the hot tub under the stars, playing games, watching movies, and enjoying time together.
It's the perfect setting for a family gathering, friends' weekend, or simply escaping the hustle and bustle for a few days.
Spring Comes Alive
Spring brings fresh mountain air, blooming landscapes, and the return of beautiful days on the water. Explore the lake, hike or bike nearby trails, fish from the dock, or simply relax on the wraparound deck and watch the mountains turn green again.

Bring a Boat—or Rent One!
One of the best ways to experience South Holston Lake is from the water. Several nearby marinas offer boat rentals, including:
**Sportsman's Marina** **Painter Creek Marina** **Laurel Marina**
Sportsman's Marina and its water playground are especially convenient—just about a 3-minute boat ride or 5-minute drive from the lodge!
So Much to Explore Nearby

Or don't go anywhere at all! Sometimes the best vacation day is the one spent swimming off the dock, grilling dinner, watching the sunset, and ending the night in the hot tub.
Come Make Some Memories
South Holston Lake is one of those special places that encourages you to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the people you're with.
From summer days spent on the water to fall leaves, winter fires, spring adventures, and quiet evenings under the stars, we hope our lodge becomes a place where your family and friends make memories you'll talk about for years to come.
A Quick Note About the Dock
Our family keeps personal boats at the dock, and from time to time we may briefly access the dock to retrieve or return a boat. **We do not enter the home or guest areas and make every effort not to interrupt your stay.** Whenever possible, we'll also send a courtesy message beforehand so you're not surprised to see us.
This isn't just a vacation rental—it's our family's home away from home. We personally enjoy the lodge throughout the year and are grateful to share it with guests when we're away. Because it's a true second home rather than a full-time rental property, you'll find the warmth, character, and little personal touches of a home that's genuinely loved and cared for. We simply ask that our guests enjoy it, make wonderful memories, and care for it as they would their own.
We truly love this home, this lake, and this beautiful corner of Tennessee and Virginia, and we're excited to share it with you. We look forward to welcoming you as our honored guests!
