Modern apartment in a historic farmhouse

The holiday rental is located on the upper floor of a traditional half-timbered farmhouse, surrounded by a vast natural garden. Fields and woods border the property directly. The spacious kitchen/dining/living area offers views of the garden and the village. The sleeping area for 4–6 people consists of a second, quiet living/game room with sleeping accommodation for 2 people (which connects the two bedrooms) and two bedrooms with double beds. For 8 people, an additional bedroom with a double bed is made available. The spacious bathroom, which gets evening sun, features a walk-in shower, a double bathtub, and a double sink.
The house is part of a spacious, historic farmstead with numerous outbuildings. The vast, natural garden features many fruit trees, and a private spring feeds the pond. We have carefully and thoughtfully renovated our ancestors’ former “Auszugs- or Ellerwohnung” in accordance with historic preservation guidelines, using high-quality, healthy building materials such as clay plaster, clay paint, linseed oil paint, and solid oak floorboards. The apartment is lovingly furnished with family heirlooms and souvenirs from our many travels. We love to cook, so we’ve placed great emphasis on having a functional, well-equipped kitchen. It features an induction cooktop, an oven, a dishwasher, and, of course, all the necessary cooking utensils.
At the built-in grill area, you can barbecue over a wood fire and enjoy cosy evenings.
Depending on the season, there are fruits and herbs in the garden for you to sample. In the natural garden, you can observe numerous insects, amphibians, and birds. The natural pond is not fenced off! A camera is installed in the outdoor area (vegetable garden) that covers only this area (fenced-in garden).

Since 01.01.2026, the market town of Frielendorf has held the designation “tourist destination” and charges a tourism fee of 1.30 EUR per overnight stay for all non-residents aged 10 and older. This fee can be paid on site.
