We enjoyed our stay at Alta Ranch. It was only my husband and I, so Aspen was a good size for us. Pete and Val were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Our goal was to unplug/get away and this is precisely what we found at Alta Ranch. The location 30 mi from the nearest town was exactly what we wanted- peaceful, beautiful, perfect. We enjoyed walking throughout the expansive property- along the river, through the fields and woods- almost as much as we enjoyed just sitting on the porch and soaking in the silence. Cabin had everything we needed - extra pillows & blankets, plenty of bath towels, dishes, knifes, pots/pans as well as a bbq grill with propane- and host also provided all the basic necessities (shampoo, body wash, dish soap, paper towels, etc). Host was responsive and pleasant to work with. I almost don't want to give this a 5 star rating because I want to keep the place our secret so it is always available for our return!!!
