Eggebek (Danish: Eggebæk) is a municipality on the Treene River in the Schleswig-Flensburg district of Schleswig-Holstein. It is named after the Eggebek, a stream within the municipality’s boundaries, and was therefore formerly called “Eichenbach.” Eggebek is one of the oldest church villages in the Schleswig Geest region, with its St. Peter’s Church having been built as early as the 12th century. Eggebek has a petrol station, a hair salon, a REWE supermarket, an inn, a Greek restaurant, a pizza delivery service, a snack bar, a dentist, a bakery, and a butcher shop.
