Host was very welcoming and a nice touch of having orange juice and english muffins waiting for us along with peanut butter, jam, butter and cream for our coffee.
Anchor Inn was such a treat and more than we expected! We arrived late and when we got in the lights were on, suite was warm and it felt like home! The cottage had a private hot tub, entrance and breakfast fixings in the fridge which was much appreciated.
Marilyn communicated really well. The place was neat, clean and well organized. We had a great stay.

Great private hot tub. Basic kitchen, comfortable living room and bedroom. Fabulous bathroom. Shady deck with view of the water. Pathway to rocky beach. Very pet friendly.
The host was generally welcoming, and helped in troubleshooting the cable TV connection when needed. The breakfast starter kit was a nice touch. We appreciated the ability to store our kayaks on and launch from the property between our paddle adventures.
Our stay was amazing. Ucluelet is a wonderful place to vacation. Our accommodations were absolutely beautiful. Close to everything one would need. Definitely will be back.

About the host
Hosted by Marilyn McEwen & Lance Blackwell
We moved here to Ucluelet from Vancouver in 1997, and added the one-bedroom suite in 2007.
Why they chose this property
We loved the idea of a waterfront property, having lived on a floathome in Vancouver for 11 years prior to moving here. The half acre property allows us to maintain privacy for ourselves & our guests. The West Coast of Vancouver Island has a rugged beauty that is unmatched anywhere else in B.C.
What makes this property unique
There is always something to watch on the waterfront -- fishboats coming & going, sea lions frolicking, bald eagles fishing, kayakers meandering by.
