The Creative Escape: Whole House Rental & Studio
This whole house rental offers more than just a studio retreat. It is an ideal getaway cabin rental for those seeking a quiet, comfortable Northern Michigan stay, even if pottery isn't on the agenda this time. We have ceramics magazines going back to the 70's. Research ceramics through the decades. The clay is here if you need it.
The main house has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a kitchen, laundry downstairs in the basement, and the studio sunroom. The long table will seat up to 8 people.
The backyard is woods facing. So is the east side of the house. Our neighbor is currently renovating their home on the west side. A nice back deck to dine or lounge on plus a fire pit.
Clay, Comfort, and Clear Water: Your Private Torch Lake Rental
Located directly across the street from Torch Lake’s access point, the house provides a beautiful view of the famous blue waters beyond. Guests can step out to sit on a bench and enjoy the sunset, or take a refreshing dip in the water. The serene lake access is available for our guests to enjoy until the peaceful hour of 10:00 PM.
Vacation home rental includes: fiber optic wi-fi, Roku tv, full kitchen, spacious deck, wooded backyard views, fireside stargazing.
The Pottery Retreat (use of throwing wheel and pottery studio) is $50/day. Please message us to purchase. This will allow for the use of clay, colored slips, and firing. We'll fire your work and ship it to you. Staying longer, we'll fire while you're here.

If he's available, your sessions will be guided by Rick, an accomplished ceramicist who also teaches at Northwestern Michigan College. Leverage his extensive experience to gain the knowledge and confidence you need to successfully tackle any ceramic project.
