1. Primary Guest Requirements
- The primary guest must be at least 25 years old and present for the entire stay.
- A valid government ID is required before check‑in.
- Only registered guests are permitted on the property.
2. No Smoking or Vaping
- Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside the home, on decks, or near doors/windows.
- Violations result in additional cleaning fees and potential eviction.
3. Pet Policy (With Prior Approval Only)
- Pets must be approved before booking.
- Pets must be supervised at all times and never left unattended unless crated.
- No pets on furniture or bedding.
- Guests must clean up all pet waste indoors and outdoors.
- Any pet‑related damage or excessive cleaning will incur additional charges.
- Full Pet Addendum applies.
4. Safety & Security
- Lock all doors and windows when leaving the home.
- Children and pets must be supervised at all times, especially on decks and stairs.
- Do not tamper with exterior cameras or safety devices.
- No climbing or leaning over deck railings.

5. Quiet Hours
- Quiet hours are 10 PM – 7 AM.
- Please be respectful of neighbors and the residential nature of the area.
6. Parking
- Park only in the designated driveway spaces.
- Do not block neighboring driveways or park in the yard.
- No RVs, campers, or trailers without prior approval.
7. Cleanliness & Care
- Please treat the home with care and respect.
- Rinse off sand using the outdoor shower before entering the house.
- Use provided beach towels for outdoor use; indoor towels must remain inside.
- Do not move indoor furniture outside or rearrange large items.
8. Kitchen & Appliances
- Do not place hot items directly on counters.
- Run the dishwasher before checkout.
- Dispose of trash in outdoor bins and secure lids tightly.
9. No Parties or Events
- No parties, events, or large gatherings beyond the number of registered guests.
- Unauthorized events will result in immediate removal without refund.
10. Grilling & Fire Safety
- Grilling is not permitted on decks per local ordinance.
- Use only the designated ground‑level grilling area.
- Never leave grills unattended.
11. Outdoor Spaces
- Keep deck furniture secured when not in use.
- Do not hang towels or clothing over deck railings.
- Use the outdoor shower to rinse off sand before entering the home.
12. Damage & Reporting
- Report any damage or maintenance issues immediately so they can be addressed quickly.
- Unreported damage discovered after checkout may result in additional charges.
13. Check‑Out Requirements
- Check‑out is 10:00 AM.
- Start the dishwasher.
- Place used towels in the bathroom.
- Remove all food from the refrigerator.
- Take trash to outdoor bins.
- Lock all doors and windows.
14. Beach Safety & Coastal Guidelines
Your safety is our priority. Carolina Beach is beautiful but powerful, and conditions can change quickly. Please review these guidelines before heading out.
Beach Flag System
The Town of Carolina Beach uses a color‑coded flag system to indicate surf and hazard conditions:
- Green: Low hazard — calm conditions, but caution is still advised
- Yellow: Medium hazard — moderate surf and/or currents
- Red: High hazard — strong surf and dangerous currents
- Double Red: Water closed to the public
- Purple: Dangerous marine life present (jellyfish, stingrays, etc.)
Always follow lifeguard instructions and posted signage.
Rip Current Safety
Rip currents are the #1 hazard on Carolina Beach. If you are caught in one:
- Do not panic — stay calm and conserve energy
- Do not swim against the current
- Swim parallel to the shore until you are out of the current
- Then swim back toward the beach at an angle
- If you cannot escape, float or tread water and wave for help
Never allow children to enter the water unsupervised.
General Water Safety
- Swim near lifeguard stands whenever possible
- Never turn your back to the ocean — waves can knock you down unexpectedly
- Keep small children within arm’s reach at all times
- Avoid swimming during storms or when lightning is present
- Alcohol and ocean swimming do not mix
Beach Gear & Town Ordinances
- Do not leave tents, chairs, or gear on the beach overnight — the town removes them
- Fill in any holes you dig before leaving
- Keep walkways and dune areas clear
- Use designated beach access points only
- Do not disturb sea turtle nests or marked areas
Sun & Heat Protection
- Use sunscreen and reapply often
- Wear hats, sunglasses, and protective clothing

- Do not feed seagulls or wildlife
