Vacation home Gerken - Apartment on the 1st floor

The holiday home is situated in a beautiful location right on the Elbe River dike/Elbe beach in the picturesque Kehdinger Land region. The apartment on the ground floor of the holiday home is 70 square metres and in excellent condition. It features a large living and dining room, a bedroom with two beds pushed together, a kitchen, a shower/toilet, and a hallway. Satellite TV and a radio/CD player are provided. The living room features a comfortable sofa set. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a coffee maker, and dishes for 6 people.
Bed linens, tea towels, electricity, and heating are included.

The house has a washing machine and a dryer that can be used by all guests staying in the house. The house also comes with two bicycles, as well as six garden chairs, a table, and a grill. The bicycles and the beautiful garden are available for use by all guests staying in the house.

The beach is only 100 metres away. There are good shopping options and restaurants in Drochtersen (approx. 5 km). The region offers attractive excursion and recreational opportunities.

Krausand Island on the Elbe – Altes Land: Krausand covers approximately 24 square kilometres and has about 450 residents. It is connected to the mainland by two bridges. A magnificent 3-kilometer-long sandy beach with many reed beds and willow trees invites you to swim, sunbathe, walk on the mudflats, and hike. The Elbe island is characterised by its many pastures and fruit farms, particularly the cherry blossoms in the Altes Land. Nature reserves and a diverse bird life make nature lovers’ hearts beat faster. The hiking trails wind past old thatched-roof houses, horse and cattle pastures, wetlands, large fruit farms, and historic harbour facilities. Beautiful paths can be found everywhere: The Elbe Cycle Route is a delight for every cyclist; the dike offers wonderful hiking opportunities; and the stunning beach and mudflat areas are second to none. From the island, you can easily watch the bustling ship traffic on the Elbe.

Nearby Attractions: Since the Elbe island of Krautsand lies between Hamburg and Cuxhaven, there are many wonderful destinations for holidaymakers to explore. Hamburg entices visitors with a variety of attractions (fish market, harbour, Reeperbahn, historic old town), while Bremen, Bremerhaven, and Cuxhaven are also worth a visit. The lovingly restored old towns of Stade and Buxtehude will fascinate you. Glücksstadt and the Kiel Canal are further highlights. Many museums in the surrounding area offer interesting exhibits. You can experience all facets of maritime life there, and the Natureum in Balje is a special attraction for nature lovers. Visit the Hadler Land region and let yourself be captivated by the charm of Wingst and the beauty of the small town of Otterndorf/Niederelbe on the Medem River.
