The process was simple, the rooms clean, the amenities great, and the location perfect!Would definitely stay again with a large group as were able to enjoy a great weekend in a great location in a great house!
Everything about this home was perfect! We appreciated the quality of the home. It was very comfortable and clean with plenty of space. The parking and proximity to town was excellent. We would stay here again!
The house was fantastic, from the parking to the cleanliness of the rooms. The check in process was easy, and flexible. The location is tough to beat, as everything is no more than a 20 minute walk. Would recommend this home to anyone and would stay here again!
Had a fantastic stay here! Super close to downtown which was really fun. Place was super clean and check-in was easy. Beds were comfortable. Hang out space was ample. Kitchen was gorgeous and was equipped with what we needed. Being able to park in a garage was also a huge plus. Thank you so much!!
This has got to be the premier property to stay at for a group of 10-11 in Portland. - Location: Phenomenal, just a few steps to Tomasso's, Eventide, Duckfat, and Bom Dia. We didn't need to take an Uber the entire stay due to how centrally located the house is.- Garage: The amount of space was a huge benefit, allowing us to squeeze all 5 of our cars (two sedans, one crossover SUV, one three-row SUV, and one full cab pickup truck!) in and not have to pay for lot or garage parking. - Property: Everything you could ask for! Multiple bedrooms offering privacy and ensuite bathrooms. Super spacious third floor with privacy screens to create quasi-private bedrooms. Beds were nice, firm memory foam. High-end furnishings and finishings. Awesome covered deck with ample seating. A/C was very effective on a humid, 85 degree weekend. Even has an elevator!- Value: We booked early, but this was significantly cheaper than other options that could sleep 10-11, was newer, and in a better location to boot. - Hosts: Ken and Susan were quick communicators, professional, and very polite. They even left a bottle of wine and some local treats for our group. Overall, this was a phenomenal experience and elevated our stay beyond our expectations. Would highly recommend staying here to any large groups looking for a high-class, accessible, comfortable stay. Thanks, Ken and Sue!

About the host
Hosted by Ken
We're Susan and Ken, and we've called Portland home since 2020, when we built this house with one intention in mind — to create a place where people could gather, relax, and feel truly at home.
Originally planned as our retirement retreat, the pandemic brought us here full-time sooner than expected, and we've never looked back. We've both since retired into work we love.
Ken is a Coast Guard Captain who runs operations for Freedom Boat Club, so he knows these waters better than almost anyone. Susan is a writer, speaker, and advisor with her first book coming out this spring.
Why they chose this property
We chose this location because it is a walkable, vibrant neighborhood with great food, water access, and real character. The Old Port, the working waterfront, and some of New England's best restaurants are steps away, yet it still feels like a neighborhood.
What makes this property unique
In a city where most vacation rentals are condos or apartments, this is a rare opportunity to enjoy a fully detached single-family home right in the heart of Portland. Spacious enough for groups up to 11. it's designed for people who want to truly settle in — cook, gather, and live comfortably — rather than just pass through.
And if you've ever tried to park in Portland, you'll appreciate the underground garage more than you can imagine.
