Papakea K404 - Penthouse with Gorgeous Ocean View!

Welcome to our home at the Papakea Resort, a 13 acre oceanfront resort with a true feeling of aloha. The complex is comprised of two sets of low-rise buildings, each with its own oceanfront pool area including a spa, a covered cabana and multiple gas barbecues. The resort also has two large putting greens, two shuffleboard courts, three lighted tennis courts and a number of beautiful koi ponds.

For those of you who just can't leave work behind, Papakea offers wireless Internet access throughout the resort. When you are ready to relax, the golf courses of Kapalua and Kaanapali are nearby, and great snorkeling and boogie-boarding beaches are within walking distance. In addition, Papakea has its own Activity Desk, staffed by professionals who can help you plan any of the great activities that await you on the island of Maui.

Our oceanview condo on the top floor has been completely remodeled and includes top-of-the-line cabinets, tile, paint, carpet and appliances. It has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in 1200 square feet of space.

The living area has ample seating, as well as cable TV and a DVD player. The dining table seats six, with additional seating on the ocean view lanai. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The unit also has its own washer and dryer.

The master bedroom has a pillow-top king size bed, plenty of dresser and closet space, and a flat screen TV. It has a full ocean view and its own en suite bathroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, separate vanity area, and a hair dryer. The second bedroom on the main level has a queen and a twin bed, another TV and an adjacent bathroom. The loft overlooking the living area has a queen size bed, and a sitting area with a TV and a DVD player. Great for the kids! All rooms enjoy air conditioning for those rare days when tropical breezes aren't enough.

The place was clean and equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. Our host also left very helpful information regarding the places to eat , shop and sites to see. Very nice property. We were admiring the attention to the details that the grounds crew would put in to the care of the grounds and the pool. Beautiful view of the sunset right out the back door. The beaches in the surrounding area were beautiful and great for snorkeling. Many Sea Turtles and different species of fish. I would definitely recommend this place and will come back again.

Amazing Trip

Perfect Family Condo

Our stay was amazing. The location was excellent, close to amazing beaches, restaurants, and the view was AMAZING! The owner was incredible, checking on us, especially when the fires started. She even tried to find us alternate accommodations when we had to be evacuated from front street.

Tropical magic at Papakea

On our first day, a property owner walked by us and said "don't tell anyone about this place, it's a secret." I get it now. You will love Papakea, and Carol is an excellent, communicative host. We had the best time as a family staying at this condo, and the views really are as shown in photos. The place was so comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed to make our Maui vacation the most memorable one ever.

Great Location / Great Unit

We spent 10 days at Papakea resort. Had a great view of the ocean and pool area from our patio. We walked to the nearby beach to watch the sunsets. Beds were comfortable. Unit was super clean. Beach trails and restaurants nearby - within walking distance. Some activities at the resort for the kids (shuffleboard, putt putt golf, pickleball).

Perfect stay

My family and I just spent 10 days in this wonderful condo. Everything was just as listed. The condo was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The AC in the bedrooms and living area was cold and made our stay very comfortable.The grounds at Papakea are so well manicured and perfect for every families needs. Carol was easy to reach from beginning to end and made sure to check in with us during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful!

First of all, the property was wonderful with a great location! Phenomenal ocean view and right above the pool which was great for my kids. The property manager was very easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. The condo was a good size with plenty of space. Very clean and great water pressure in showers. Walkout to the ocean and just down the road from several beaches, restaurants and stores. Overall very pleased!

Wonderful in every single way

Our visit was amazing and Carol was so helpful with everything. The condo is beautiful, location is great and I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the property. Absolutely amazing.

Our stay was unforgettable. The views from our location were absolutely amazing. This unit is well stocked, clean, and everything in excellent working order. Spectacular Maui condo!

Location, was perfection. Walkable to lovely restaurants, fun truck eateries, sandy beach and delicious coffee. The condo was well supplied, clean with a view of the ocean, the sounds rocked us to sleep. Our family was comfortable, ate and enjoyed our time together. 40th Anniversary trip

The condo could not have been any better! It housed our family of six, five adults and a 5-year-old perfectly. It was just as described, perfectly appointed, clean, excellent view of property and ocean. The communication with the owner made it even more special. Carol provided us with a list of restaurants, things to do and many other helpful hints way ahead of time so we could plan our vacation appropriately. If and when we return to Maui, we will definitely be contacting Carol to stay in this beautiful condo.

Great views and a great time.

This was our family’s first time in Maui, but it definitely won’t be our last. This location was perfect for us. Lots of fun, water sports, golf, and fine dining all close by. Kanapali beach close by had lots of great activities for the family, including some cliff diving for my more adventurous kid. The views from the deck of this condo are like a postcard, especially at sunset. With a view of the pool, we were also able to watch the kids swim and play shuffleboard. We also played pickleball ball and cornhole all on site. I can’t say enough good things about our time a Papakea. Thanks Carol.

Wonderful stay at Papakea Resort in Maui

My two friends and I stayed for 6 nights at this lovely property. Carol, the owner was so easy to work with, and assisted with getting us early access to the condo which was much appreciated. The kitchen was well-stocked and everything was super clean. The front desk staff were very helpful and gave us several excellent restaurant recommendations. The grounds were beautiful, very-well kept. We enjoyed the pool and one night there was a complimentary happy hour. The location could not be beat--so close to the sea--wall, allowing you to watch the waves and experience beautiful sunsets. You could walk in just a few minutes to the next resort, and swim at their beach--plus enjoy delicious drinks at their bar. All in all, it was a wonderful stay--oh, and parking was a breeze! Thank you Carol!

Beautiful Unit with Breathtaking Views and a Caring Owner

Carol was incredibly cooperative and accommodating, as well as responsive to our needs. The unit was well appointed, with everything necessary for a wonderful Maui vacation. Showers were awesome, furniture was comfortable and everything worked! This is the 5th time we have stayed at Papakea and this unit was one of the best. Although I don't usually prefer it, there were a few nights we needed (and greatly appreciated) the AC. Thank you Carol for making it a wonderful stay at your beautiful home.

Lovely Rental Experience and Resort

My family and I stayed at this property in June 2022. The location is ideal for beach use and dining options. Short drive to Lahaina for shopping and dining on Front St. The unit is well appointed and has all kitchen needs covered, even chip clips. About a 40 min drive from the airport. If arriving after dark, the drive from the airport is a bit winding. Not "Road to Hana" winding but still needs focus when driving. The Master Bedroom gets the morning sun, so it can get a bit bright early in the morning (6:30a). It is a small thing though. Overall, we had a wonderful visit.

Fantastic property!

Out vacation stay at Carol's property was fantastic! The condo is in a great central location to many activities on the island. It has a beautiful ocean and pool view. It is well equipped with everything we needed for our stay including beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, etc. The property is very clean, quiet and spacious. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed for cooking our own meals. The in unit washer and dryer were great. We came as a family of 6, with kids ages 11-20. With three bedrooms there was plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably. The grounds of the property were beautiful. There are 2 pools and hot tubs, a putting green, and tennis and pickleball courts. So much fun for everyone. We hope to return some day!

Maui Family Getaway

This was a comfortable home for our multi-generation family of five while on Maui. The condo has everything you could need and all conveniences are nearby (groceries, snorkel gear, restaurants, etc). The location of the property is well-situated as the starting place for a road trip adventure or a short ride to any number of nearby beaches. Or stay put and relax on a lounge chair down on the impeccably maintained grounds. The air conditioning stopped working in one of the rooms while we were there, but the property manager was on it and even managed to get it repaired on the 4th of July. This is a well and thoughtfully stocked condo in a great location. It’s neither too slick and new, nor too old and run down – totally just right for a family treating themselves to a vacation in paradise in my opinion. Thank you Carol for sharing your home! Maui slice of heaven!

Our stay was wonderful! And the property was perfect! Our family of four, with two teenage daughters, traveled in early July to celebrate our oldest graduating high school. Each of our daughters brought a friend. All of us enjoyed ourselves! The property had private spaces for each pair and fit the six of us just fine. Not only was the resort beautiful, it had so much to do! From swimming, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, corn hole, and plenty of grass areas for walking, to a convenience store immediately off grounds, you’re sure to find something to do! The property owner was not only communicative, but very accommodating! The unit’s a/c worked nicely, offered multiple smart TVs for watching shows late at night, & wifi to stay connected as needed. A wide variety of Food trucks are also just off the grounds which was super convenient! There were plenty of towels in the unit, chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and a washer/dryer as well. View from balcony facing the swimming pool & ocean! Perfect for sipping your morning coffee or evening drink! We really had zero complaints! We would definitely book again! Papakea was lovely & K404 won’t disappoint!

This condo had everything it promised! It was so clean and comfortable, we were so happy with everything! The view is unbeatable. Very short walk to the beach just off to the left with a big shady tree! There were beach chairs, umbrella and coolers to use as well. The resort is very lovely and well maintained. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the evenings. The owner was great with communication and she is very friendly. When we come back to Maui we hope this unit is available!

This condo is exactly as described. It is on the 4th floor (top floor) with a nice porch overlooking the pool and views of the ocean. It is well equipped with lots of nice beach chairs, beach/pool towels, plenty of dishes and flatware, bbq tools, nice wine glasses and even travel coffee cups which was an unexpected surprise and we actually used!! Walking distance to a nice shopping center with market, a shave ice store, and Slappy Cakes (fun breakfast). Carol was so nice and reached out during our stay to make sure everything was working for us. This place is a gem and we hope to return again soon!

We went to Maui on our honeymoon 30 years ago and have gone at least once a year every year since. We always dreamed of having our own home on the island and were lucky enough to find Papakea 20 years ago. Papakea is one of the few remaining resorts on Maui that still maintains the feel of old Hawaii. It's quiet, with beautiful landscaping, plenty of open areas and a magnificent ocean view. We have enjoyed many wonderful vacations here with friends and family over the years.
