This incredibly cosy little cottage (approx. 150 square metres) can accommodate two small families or one larger family. Or maybe some fishing buddies?? ;-)
On the ground floor, there’s a very spacious kitchen that used to be a blacksmith’s shop. Right where iron was forged back in the middle of the last century, you’ll find a rustic wood-burning stove. In the fall and winter, it not only heats the kitchen—you can also use it to cook and bake the world’s best kanelbullar! ;-)
The long oak table seats at least 14 people. You’re more than welcome ( ;-) ) to invite your holiday friends over for a cosy meal.
The wood for this little table comes from an oak tree that was (already) about 100 years old at the time, which was cut down and crafted by the father of the previous owner, who is now about 80 years old.
Ah, if only this table could tell stories... ;-)
While stories like that are interesting on holiday, they aren’t practical.
That’s why we’ve designed this kitchen so you don’t have to sacrifice comfort:
- Refrigerator/freezer combo
- Dishwasher
- Electric range (oven, glass-ceramic cooktop)
- Food processor, blender, toaster, microwave, sandwich toaster, general
cutlery/dishes/cookware, small stereo system
- Baking dishes/casserole dishes
- (A grill is, of course, also available)
LIVING ROOM:
The living room also offers plenty of space for several people to get comfortable. The new air-source heat pump heats on cold days and cools/provides air conditioning on hot days. You’ll also find a TV/satellite and a PSI; on cool evenings, you can relax by the crackling fireplace.
Bedroom (Upper Floor):
The “blue bedroom” features a double bed, a single bed, and a cot,
with a view of the lake.
Perfect for families. An additional baby/toddler bed can be added upon request, so that families with two to three children have enough sleeping space, depending on the children’s ages.
For the very little ones, we provide the following items free of charge:
2 baby/toddler cots plus bedding, 2 changing tables with pads, nappy pail,
2 baby bathtubs (with stands), potty and toilet seat, baby and toddler toys,
an all-terrain stroller, 2 high chairs, 1 bicycle child seat, stair gate.
2nd bedroom:
Currently, there is a 1.10m-wide single bed and a sofa bed that folds out into a sleeping surface measuring 1.4m x 2.0m.
(1 plus 2 children??)
Upon request, we can push two single beds together to form a double bed,
so that a couple can spend the night comfortably.
There is a single bed in the hallway between these bedrooms.
Another bed can be added as needed.
The occupancy is now as follows:
In the blue bedroom: 2–3 adults plus 1–2 toddlers
In the yellow bedroom: 2–3 children/teens/adults
In the hallway: up to 2 children/adults
Linen packages (bed linens/towels) can be booked for an additional 10€ per person; payment is due on-site in cash or via PayPal.

Despite the ample space and our efforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible, we offer this holiday home for 4–6 people.
However, if there are more guests—for example, two families—we’ll do everything we can to ensure you’re all comfortably accommodated in ONE house.
Please keep in mind, however, that there is only 1 (!!) bathroom/toilet.
There is also the option to shower in the BASTU (sauna), located about 30 metres from the house; unfortunately, there is no additional toilet there.
Use of the sauna (with a lake view) is free. ;-)
Bathroom:
Here you’ll find a toilet, a sink, a spacious shower (1.10 m x 1.20 m), and a washing machine. (Laundry can be dried on a drying rack in the covered porch... or on the clothesline in the garden.)
Cleaning supplies and laundry detergent tabs are provided by us.
Ceiling height approx. 1.95 m.
The price includes kitchen towels, shower curtains, and bedding for toddlers.
