Lovely villa with private garden, situated at the slopes of the Etna in the heart of Mediterranean vegetation. The whole house is comfortable and offers accommodation for 7/8 people. It is well equipped and very tasteful decorated. Pisano is the perfect vacation village for people who want to evade from daily stress live and enjoy his vacation in whole silence. The special position between sea and Etna offers interesting excursion goals of the whole eastern coast like Taormina, Acireale, Catania, Siracusa and so on. Even in winter the Etna volcano emanates a particular charm, its snow-covered slopes make skiing on the Etna a wonderful experience. Interesting winter disciplines such as alpine skiing, cross country, Nordic skiing, snowboarding can be practiced surrounded by a breathtaking landscape, characterized by snowy slopes and black lava rocks, everything enriched by a magical blue sea background.

Stupenda vacanza

Abbiamo appena trascorso una vacanza magnifica... La villa è favolosa, ci sono tutti i confort ed è vicinissima sia al mare che alla montagna ( l'Etna ) . Eravano 7 amici e ci siamo divertiti e rilassati tanto. Grazie anche a Vera che è stata squisita . Antonio

Slendida struttura adatta per una vacanza di relax sia al mare che in montagna, confortevole ampia comoda attrezzata di tutto l'occorrente per trascorrere una vacanza spensierata insieme alla famiglia o agli amici, ben posizionata per raggiungere le più belle città turistiche della Sicilia orientale. Colgo l'occasione per un saluto alla proprietaria per la bella accoglienza riservataci e per la sua disponibilità.

Hervorragend

Wir sind vier Erwachsene und waren für eine Woche in dem Haus zu Besuch. Hierfür war es perfekt. Die Beschreibung des Hauses übertreibt nicht. Es ist sehr großzügig angelegt und äußerst gepflegt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Absolutes Highlight ist die Terrasse. Man kann durch Drehen des Stuhls wählen, ob man lieber auf den Ätna oder das Meer blicken möchte. Der Garten ist sehr schön angelegt und vermittelt mediterranes Flair. Wenn es mal kühler ist, lässt es sich auch wunderbar in Küche oder Wohnzimmer essen. Die Küche genügt mit ihrer Ausstattung normalen Anforderungen. Sehr praktisch ist der Abstellplatz für das Auto. Bedingt durch die Hanglage ist ein solches übrigens zwingend erforderlich. Die Ausfahrt auf die Hauptstraße ist nicht so gefährlich wie in einer Bewertung beschrieben. Zu bedenken ist dabei, dass Auto fahren auf Sizilien für den normalen Mitteleuropäer grundsätzich unangenehm und gefährlich ist. Die Einkaufsmögichkeiten im nahen Pisano sind ausreichend, wenn man keine Besonderheiten verlangt. Ab dem zweiten Einkauf gibt´s beim Bäcker auch Kredit, wenn man den Euro nicht passend zur Hand hat :-) Mehr Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es dann im ca. 10 Minuten entfernten schönen Zafferana. Bis zur Autobahn muss man bei angebrachter defensiver Fahrweise mindestens 20 Minuten auf teils sehr kleinen Sträßchen einrechnen. Angenehmer ist die Zufahrt über Giarre als über Accireale. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett, korrekt und spricht perfekt deutsch. Alles hat reibungslos funktioniert. Hier würden wir immer wieder Urlaub machen. Ein wunderschönes Haus.

Sonne tanken im November

Schönes, großes Haus in Hanglage, geräumige Zimmer, ordentlich und sauber, geeignet für Gruppen bzw. Großfamilie. Kleiner Minuspunkt -nur ein Badezimmer mit Toilette-. Wunderschöne große Terrassen, auch rund um das Haus, also immer eine Möglichkeit windgeschützt in der Sonne zu sitzen. Ausreichend Gasöfen sind vorhanden um abends die Zimmer zu heizen. Herrlicher Blick auf den Ätna und das Meer. Ruhige Lage in einer Sackgasse. Auto unbedingt erforderlich. Gute Ausfallbasis für Wanderungen auf dem Ätna und Ausflüge in die verschiedenen Städte (Autobahn in der Nähe). Wenig Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im Ort selbst (der Bäcker ist prima), aber im Umkreis gute und große Supermärkte. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr ansprechend auch der Totalpreis, keine weiteren Abrechnungen für Gas, Wasser, Strom, Bettwäsche, Handtücher und Endreinigung. Problemlose Schlüsselübergabe und Rückgabe der Kaution. Freundliche Vermieter. Wenn viel an Deutsche und Niederländer vermietet wird vielleicht empfehlenswert eine Kaffemaschine anzuschaffen. Wir haben uns mit den Möglichkeiten, die uns die Küche geboten hat, beholfen und auch teilweise auf italienische Art unseren Kaffe gekocht. Alles in allem haben wir (3 Ehepaare) einen sehr schönen Urlaub in diesem Haus verbracht.

A good base for a holiday in North East Sicily

We very much enjoyed staying in this villa. The house is spacious, certainly big enough for the four of us staying. The house is fronted by a large veranda on two levels; we enjoyed eating outside most days, including breakfast, and this was in mid-October. It is a clean and tidy property, the only potential downside for larger groups is that there is only one bathroom. There are nice views of Etna and out to the Med, though you do not get a full view of Etna as it is partly obscured by a lower ridge. The road is very quite, though I agree with a previous reviewer that the entrance is quite dangerous. We found no great problems getting to places from the Villa, Zafferana is not too far from the nearest Autostrade. Be prepared for the fact that the Autostrade is a toll road, though we never paif more than 3 Euros; most journeys we did were less than 1. If you want to enjoy Etna, make sure you bring appropriate clothing - it was very cold at the car park, and that is nowhere near the top. Make sure you visit Etna! I also think that a car is a must for this part of Sicily, we would have struggled without one.

Nice house, shame about the weather!

We've just returned from a week here. There is plenty of room in the house and the furniture is comfortable. Everything we needed was supplied (kitchen equipment, linens etc). It was very clean but there were a lot of trip hazards in the way of rugs, and various ornaments and nick-nacks around the place giving it a slightly fussy feel. My 4-year-old loved the grapes and peaches growing in the garden. There are a lot of steps (2 flights) up to the front door so it isn't really suitable for those with mobility difficulties. Views to Etna and the sea on a clear day are tremendous - and so are the thunderstorms! The house is in a cul-de-sac but the exit to the main road is extremely dangerous with no visibility in either direction. A mirror across the road helps only a little. There was a bad road accident at that spot during our stay. While the location looks convenient on the map, the reality of the narrow winding roads and the Sicilian way of driving means that it takes longer to reach your destination than you might expect. Having said that, 40 minutes drive will take you to innumerable walking spots on the volcano, or to the cable car station to the summit. About an hour to Taormina and Catania airport. Pisano itself isn't much of a place (and despite the proximity, the nature of the road means it is not possible to walk there). Zafferana (20 mins drive) is a nice place to while away a couple of hours. Nearest sandy beach is north of Taormina just below the autostrada exit. I personally wouldn't return to this particular house, but it gives an ideal and comfortable base for anyone interested in mountain activities in particular.

I’m sorry when travelers make a wrong choice and then complaint about things that have nothing to do with the house. First of all, I provided everything needed to make their stay comfortable, I also added a cot for their baby as required but I cannot change weather conditions. When choosing the month of September/October for your holiday you must consider the possibility of thunderstorms. In autumn there can be beautiful sunny days with high temperatures but also rain and thunderstorms. There are some steps up to the house but as indicated in the advertisement, the place is not recommended for wheelchairs, anyway these travelers had no mobility difficulties. The roads in the surroundings are well paved and large enough for transit, this means that places to visit can be reached without particular difficulties. The accident mentioned was caused by the bad weather conditions that obscured visibility of the mirror and not by the nature of the road. The distances indicated by this traveler are not accurate (6 minutes drive to Zafferana and not 20), nearest beaches are Acitrezza and Fondachello (12 and 25 minutes drive). 25/30 minutes drive to the Etna volcano and cable car station, 40 minutes drive to the airport and Taormina. I always try to be helpful for people staying in my house and I am always available to give information and recommend the best itineraries but bad weather cannot be attributed to the owner, for me it’s really important that my guests are satisfied.
