Very nice property. Perfect for 2 couples. Fantastic location. It was close to all the events we had planned. The host was amazing. Answered any questions we had ASAP. We will be coming back for future stays at Pointe Royale!!!

The lock was very difficult and I do not remember the listing stating that there were steps. The are a few minor cosmetic issues in the bedroom, but they did not interfere with our stay. Only one pass with four adults could have been tricky but we made it work. Other than those minor issues the place was very comfortable, quiet, and beautiful.

We did want to clarify a few points for future guests. The listing does state that stairs are required to access the unit, so this information is provided prior to booking. The entry lock is also operating properly and has been checked to ensure it is functioning as intended. Regarding the amenity card, it is standard for our Pointe Royale units to provide one amenity card per reservation, regardless of the number of guests. We understand that coordinating the card among four adults may require some planning, and we appreciate you making it work during your stay. We showed up for a one night stay. Just passing through. Host communication and check in were excellent. We liked that it was a gated community. Felt very safe for our family. The entire community and grounds are well maintained and neat. Our building/unit is old. You can tell they are trying to keep it looking updated with paint, wall decor, and newer flooring and a few new appliances. But it’s showing its age underneath. We had a ground floor walkout unit but unfortunately the septic tank was overflowing and pooling up on top the ground in the back yard. It stunk. Bad. Thankfully I spotted it before the kids had a chance to splash around in it. It was a constant flow that went right over the edge of the ridge top and down into the river which ultimately flows into Bull Shoals Lake. Think about that next time you want to go for a swim there. I went out late in the evening for some pizza and the parking lot smelled like St. Louis. I think the neighbors were smoking some left-handed Chesterfields. Not much a guy can do about that since Missouri is a legalized doper state now. So between the stank tank and the rank dank the place literally stunk however it was still better than every hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Also… 4 juvenile raccoons were trapped in the dumpster and could not get out. They were well fed so I was not concerned too much. I think with a few more days worth of trash bags they’d be able to crawl out.

We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The claim regarding a septic tank overflowing into the river and ultimately into Bull Shoals Lake is not something that was verified, and we were not provided with any professional assessment confirming that what was observed was sewage or that it entered the river or lake. We take environmental concerns seriously, but we don’t want assumptions presented as confirmed facts. The comments about an odor in the parking lot and the assumption that neighbors were smoking illegal substances are also speculation and were outside of our control. Likewise, the raccoons mentioned were in a community dumpster and were unrelated to the rental itself. We appreciate your positive comments about our communication, check-in, safety, and the overall community. We simply want to provide future guests with accurate context regarding the concerns mentioned in the review.
