Experience cosiness and comfort in the heart of the Palatinate Forest at our country house, “Am Wiesengrund,” in the idyllic village of Merzalben, nestled below Gräfenstein Castle. Centrally located yet surrounded by nature, you can fully enjoy the Palatinate way of life here in a truly special atmosphere.
The house accommodates up to 6 guests and features unique themed rooms, a sunny terrace, and covered south-facing balconies overlooking the Wiesengrund. The attention to detail is evident everywhere.
Enjoy the many hiking opportunities in the surrounding area, set in the partly untouched nature of the core zone, or relax on the terrace at Wiesengrund with the babbling brook that practically invites you to wade in the water.




Holiday Home “Landhaus Am Wiesengrund”:

The completely renovated house accommodates six people and features the following amenities: Two bathrooms, both with raised toilets. One bathroom with a wheelchair-accessible shower and toilet, one bathroom with a tub and toilet, three themed rooms—a French Room (French bed 160x200, open foot end), an Italian Room (double bed 200x200 with open foot end) with access to the balcony, and the Palatinate Stubb (double bed 180x200), also with access to the south-facing balcony. A cot is also available. The hallway on the 2nd floor is equipped with a stair gate.
In the open-concept living area on the 1st floor, which also has access to the covered balcony, you’ll find a modern built-in kitchen (counter height 90 cm) with a bar that seats two people. There is a large fridge-freezer, coffee makers, a food processor, a toaster, a sandwich toaster, an electric kettle, and plenty of cooking utensils. Dishes, glasses, and silverware are provided for 12 people. Next door, you can sit at the large dining table for six people, with a view of the garden; at the back of the room is a cosy TV corner. (Satellite TV, DVD player, stereo system, and Wi-Fi are, of course, also available).
Additionally, there is a lockable garage that can accommodate one car or any bicycles you bring along. From the garage, you have direct access to the patio or into the house. There is also an utility room with a washing machine, a drying rack, and a sink. Behind the house, you’ll find a tarte flambée oven and a grill, both of which are available for use.
The terrace and the two covered south-facing balconies are furnished with patio furniture, a parasol, and lounge chairs, offering you a view of the approximately 1,000-square-meter meadow with a babbling stream that’s perfect for wading.
We provide bed linens, towels, tea towels, toilet paper, and dishwasher tablets. We also offer a drink and grocery delivery service to our guests.

Disclaimer: On the adjacent natural property, there is a stream as well as two fish ponds, which are not fenced in. The two fish ponds are not part of our country house’s grounds but belong to the neighbouring property. We expressly point out that use of the outdoor area is at your own risk. Parents are responsible for their children and their safety. The property owner assumes no liability.
