Located directly on the Panoramaweg trail in Ramsau am Dachstein, surrounded by a majestic mountain backdrop, our family-run, non-smoking hotel, Sporthof Austria, enjoys a quiet and sunny setting. Spend precious days in a family-friendly atmosphere, in keeping with our philosophy: “It is always our connections with people that give life its value.”

Our 3-star hotel is the ideal starting point for your summer and winter activities. The cross-country ski trail and numerous hiking trails lead right past our hotel. The stop for the free ski bus to the family-friendly Ramsau am Dachstein ski area—with Kali’s adventure slopes—and to the Amadé ski area, featuring the “4 Berge” ski circuit (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen, and Reiteralm), is just a few minutes’ walk away. After a day of skiing, we also offer a free pickup service from the bus stop.

Our bright, comfortable solid-wood rooms for 2–3 people, a spacious family room for 4–5 people with separate bedrooms, two newly built suites with a living room and bedroom, or single rooms all feature a shower, toilet, balcony, satellite TV, a radio alarm clock, a safe, and a panoramic balcony with a view of the majestic mountains. Wi-Fi is available free of charge.

Let yourself be tempted by our culinary delights in the cosy dining room, the new, light-filled sunroom, or in the Zirbenstube with its tiled stove. Your hosts prepare carefully selected ingredients with love., Whether it’s the generous breakfast buffet, regional Styrian delicacies, or international cuisine as part of a 3-course dinner menu of your choice, vegetarian creations, barbecue evenings, a hearty farmhouse buffet, or fondue—our cuisine delights even the most discerning palates. We offer a special children’s menu just for our young guests. A good glass of wine is a must during convivial evenings on our large sun terrace. Your host, Franz, is an avid wine lover and is happy to personally recommend wines. We’re happy to serve “Ramsau Wine” from the Postl Winery in Southern Styria.

Treat yourself to an infusion session in the Finnish sauna, a bio-sauna with coloured light therapy, the aromatic steam room, an infrared cabin, a whirlpool, or the solarium. For your active, personalised workout routine, the fitness room offers a treadmill, an ergometer, a stepper, a cross-trainer, dumbbells, floor mats, exercise balls, and a multi-function machine. Our relaxation room with panoramic views invites you to unwind.

Your children are sure to have a great time at Sporthof Austria, too. The large playground—complete with a swing, sandpit, suspension bridge, slide, football goal, playhouse, and climbing frame—along with our curious goats, is a huge hit. A dedicated children’s playroom with lots of fun toys, as well as table tennis, badminton, and basketball, ensures there’s never a dull moment. Horseback riding opportunities are available nearby, and in winter, we’ll take you on our very own horse-drawn sleigh through the snow-covered winter landscape to one of the rustic huts in Ramsau am Dachstein.
