Welcome home, even it's not your actual hometown because you will feel that way by the wonderful neighbors waving "hello" like you have been there forever, the manicured yards in the neighborhood, the red robin birds & butterflies that visit the deck, the kids laughter in the atmosphere or the smell of bbq on a grill somewhere close by is in the air. The only thing missing is mom's yummy meatloaf (or ox tails), fresh mashed potatoes, french greenbeans and hot buttery dinner rolls and refreshing Koolaid! (Good news, Cracker Barrel is only a few miles away.) Your cozy & peaceful getaway awaits you in this beautiful neighborhood in Schererville, Indiana (very close to other cities: Crown Point, Merrillville, Dyer, Hammond, Munster, Griffith, Portage, Gary, Miller Beach, Chesterton and of course...Chi Town ie. Chicago). This home has huge vaulted ceilings, its light and bright, lots of large windows and full of cheer. A sweet enclosed patio. There are three bedrooms featuring a king bed and two queen beds, plus an 2nd living room spaces with room to add EZ bed if needed. Guests have plenty of room to spread out. The three bathrooms include both a shower and a bathtub in two of them, making it easy to refresh after a day of exploring the midwest, sightseeing, dropping a loved one off to college, visiting family, hanging out with friends from the annual class or family reunion or just relaxing. Inside, you’ll find a nice balance of comfort and convenience to make your stay relaxing. Book now and enjoy everything this peaceful, sweet and loving home has to offer you. This is the place for the rest & retreat from all of your hard work in this the big world. Its a corner house with a large backyard. Come on home, your home away from home is waiting on you! Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
LAUNDRY: There 2 bags in the laundry room cabinet. Sheets - Gather all sheets & place in one bag. Gather all towels & put in another bag. Put the 2 bags on front porch. Laundry services will pick up.
Do not add bedspreads/covers to bag. Put those in the laundry room for housekeeper to wash. Do not remove protective mattress & pillow covers. If stained or damage we will address.
DISHES: Dirty dishes, wash off & put in laundry room. TRASH: Check all trash cans, put all in one bag & put in outside trash bin. FOOD: remove all open & used food & beverages.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Its very cold in the midwest, so we have protective clear film on the windows. DO NOT remove plastic film or open windows. New HVAC system at house.

I have never had another host be as accommodating and quick with responses as Elle. She made sure that everything was comfortable and checked in with us to be sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful neihhborhood. I hope to be back.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to spend quality time with family. The host was very kind and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

The house was very clean. The house looked exactly like the pictures. The host was easy to communicate with. Whenever we are in town we will be booking the house again if available.

Fyi, VRBO had multiple global outages this weekend and my 5 star rating score will not go through properly for them.
