We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house! It is open and has much space to feel just like at home. The location of the house is really good too, everything essential is near and the town is beautiful. The beds were really comfortable, the outside space is very nice too. The host is just as nice, it was lovely talking with her! Thank you again, I can just recommend this location! :)
We stayed nine nights and it was absolutely perfect! Louise greeted us and gave us the run down on the gite as well as the town. Always available if we had questions with prompt replies. Provided great information for our stay in Normandy. Had everything we needed. Lots of space and well-equipped. Our favourite was sitting around the fire in the evening. We'll be sure to book again when we return. Thank you!!
We had a great stay at Mirabella. The communication with Louise was excellent and the accommodation exactly as described. The location is perfect for visiting all the D-day sites, and is within walking distance of the Maisy battery which is well worth the visit. The accommodation was clean, tidy, comfy and had everything you could possibly need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - overall highly recommended.
Louise is a great host, really welcoming and friendly with some wonderful pets!
The location is perfect, quiet but easily walkable to the town centre, harbour and beach.
A lovely week away to enjoy the sights and delights of Normandy.
Thank you!
Nice place to stay, clean and comfortable. Completely fulfilled our needs. The host Louise was wonderful, gave us suggestions and information about activities in the area. Enjoyed our talks, and I have definitely made a good friend.

Unfortunately, our experience at this property was very poor. We followed Vrbo’s guidelines in dealing with this. At the time of booking the host wanted to take us off the site and book privately which we didn’t do. The house smelt a bit fusty but a few open windows would have sorted this so not a problem. The furnishings were tired but again this didn’t bother us. We felt the property needed a deep clean. We found black hairs on bed linen, mould and limescale in the bathroom, spillages on cupboards etc. This did bother us. We raised these concerns with the host and tried to resolve them so that we could continue our stay. Instead, the host told us to leave. She gave us 30 minutes to vacate the property at 9.30pm. We therefore had to arrange alternative accommodation. We contacted Vrbo. The host said that we had cancelled rather than been asked to leave. Fortunately, we had kept evidence of what had occurred and provided this to Vrbo. Following a review Vrbo approved reimbursements. We cannot comment further as we were prevented from staying in this house. This review reflects our experience of the property, the booking process and what happened when we raised our concerns. Based on that experience, we would not stay here again.Sent from my iPhone

In 25 years of hosting, I have never experienced a situation quite like this. I would like to reassure anyone considering staying at Mirabelle that I take every guest’s experience very seriously.
On this occasion, shortly after arrival, the guests said they would be leaving. I agreed, but asked them to vacate the property within 15 minutes, rather than the 30 minutes stated in their review.
I would also point out that the guests who stayed at Mirabelle immediately before, and the guests who arrived immediately afterwards, both independently gave me 5-star reviews. I am proud of the consistently positive experiences guests have at Mirabelle and remain committed to maintaining those standards.
Lovely traditional French house, spacious and homely. Perfect size for a family of 4,5 or 6. Great proximity to D day landing sites, museums and other places of interest. A short walk to the local beach, shop, bar and supermarket. Children enjoyed meeting the owners cats and dog. Would recommend to other families looking to explore the area.

Thank you so much for this.. We all enjoyed meeting you.
A very lovely little house with its own patio. Small kitchen that meets the needs of vacationers. Three bedrooms that maintain the french flavor, with a single bath with walk in shower. Very comfortable furniture in the living room area and fireplace area. Cozy in the best sense of the word. A lovely host that is very helpful and friendly . I hope to visit again! Restaurants and shops in walking distance.
Charming host. Charming house. Great location. A1. Thank you.
Firstly I would like to say what a fantastic host Louise is. The property is in a nice quiet location with a cafe/bar a 2 minute walk away where we got our croissants in the morning. The house is lovely. Full of charm and plenty of room for our family of 5. Small suntrap garden to dine in and the use of Louise's large garden should the need arise. 10 minute walk to a small but well stocked supermarket. 15 minutes and you're in the town, harbour or on the beach. Great location to explore as many D-day sights as you can manage. Hour to Bayeux. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you Louise. I'm sure we'll be back.
Mirabelle ( and the host Louise ) are adorable !Such a lovely period cottage in a quaint French village. We absolutely enjoyed our 3 night stay. The property has any amenities that you would require, it's in a fantastic position from where you can really explore the Normandie coastal areas. We would recommend it as base if you either want a relaxing holiday or as we did, explore the Normandy D-Day sites from Operation Overlord in 1944There is parking for 1 vehicle outside Mirabelle and I believe you can also park in the square less than 50mts away.We will definitely return in the futureA big Merci to the wonderful Louise and Au Revoir David, Linda, Charlie & Emily
The cottage is delightful, spacious with 3 double bedrooms and well equipped. Our host was very welcoming, very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Location wise, it was great with everything in walking distance including the beach, restaurants, bars, supermarket, the fishing port and the daily fish market. A short drive away are the Normandie beaches, Bayeux, and Insigny sur Mer. All in all, I highly recommend this property.
A recommander

Thank you so much Caroline, it was a real pleasure have you to stay.
On reviendra!

Mirabelle. Grandecamp Maisey Normandy
We are three motorcyclists, all retired and decided on our motorcycling break because of our interest in ww2 history. Mirabelle exceeded all our expectations. The house is spacious and has all the attributes of home from home. Louise allowed us to garage all three motorcycles and also cooked us a meal on our arrival. We we surprised to find sky TV and so enjoyed our English programmes. Grandecamp Maisey is a seaside village/small town and has an abundance of restaurants and bars. We visited the local bar for sunday lunch and enjoyed bbq sardines fresh from the sea. The nearby church bell starts the clock chimes at 7am and every 15mins, a very pleasant way to start the new day.

Clean, spacious and ideally placed!
The property was in a perfect location for visiting the Normandy Beaches. Grandcamp Maisy is a nice quiet village within walking distance of the sea and the local Carrefour supermarket. Louise was very welcoming and accommodating, and they always had a beautiful fire prepared for us upon our arrival home from touring the area. Overall, an excellent stay and we would highly recommend. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Holiday above expectations
This is a pleasant french style house in a fishing village. The 20 minute walk to town has everything you need close by without the need to rely on a car. Louise is a very welcoming host and made the whole family feel very welcome. If we come back to Normandy, we would visit again.
