Peaceful cottage tucked away minutes from the French Quarter in New Orleans.
Discover the sweet southern charm and character of the Oak Cottage Retreat! You’ll soon fall in love with our 2-bedroom cottage upon entry! Guests will find two comfy queen beds and a pull out child bed, along with lots of space for a queen sized air mattress that’s provided if needed. This spacious, yet cozy cottage is perfect for families or groups of six. The bathroom is roomy and features a gorgeous marble, oversized shower. The cottage is quite welcoming with its stunning hard wood floors and gorgeous ceiling to floor windows that will wow you!
The well stocked kitchen is equipped with a full sized gas stove and refrigerator with ice maker, along with all items needed for cooking. The dining room is equipped with a beautiful table to spread out to enjoy everyone together! A keurig coffee maker is provided with coffee, cream and sugar.
Relax on the porch under the sweeping oak trees with your morning coffee or a nice relaxing evening with a glass of wine! There is a nice little back porch as well and a yard to explore.

It’s nestled right between the beautiful bayous where some of the best fishing is located in the country and the bustling of the BIG EASY! It is the BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! It truly is a Sportsman's Paradise mixed in with the city that never sleeps! It’s really cool!! So safe and convenient! Whatever you do, come with an appetite! You will experience the best food the entire world offers! Have fun!
What makes this property unique
This spacious cottage is located adjacent to the historical courthouse and sheriff's office and down the street where the Chalmette National Monument and Cemetery are located. The cottage is actually situated where the Battle of New Orleans/ War of 1812 was fought so it’s sitting on national history property! The home is 110 years old but renovated and it’s a real treasure! The neighborhood is mixed with office and residential properties and offers tranquility features that is noticed as soon as you turn down the street. The floor to ceiling windows adorned with drapes gives a sense of southern elegance. It is for sure Instagram worthy and makes for a unique place for brides to get ready, family to stay or even a girls trip because of its design style!
