The historic “Alter Weidenhof” country house, a listed building, will enchant you with its spacious, stately rooms, large garden, and peaceful location in the countryside behind St. Peter-Ording. It features modern and exclusive furnishings without losing any of the charm of a historic thatched-roof longhouse. Original stylistic elements have been largely preserved.
With its 170 square metres, it’s perfectly suited for families or multigenerational holidays, as the 3–4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are spread across two ends of the house, so guests can easily “stay out of each other’s way.”
The property is located on the northern side of the Eiderstedt Peninsula, in the picturesque Wasserkoog district of the municipality of Tetenbüll, just about 2 km from the North Sea swimming area “Everschopsiel” (green beach), which features a small marina and a seafood restaurant. St.-Peter-Ording, with its endless sandy beaches, is about a 15-minute drive (20 km) away.
The light-filled living room is located in the former "Loo-Deele" (barn) in the centre of the house. It offers plenty of space for a large dining or game table and a sofa nook for reading or watching TV. From here, you also have access to the garden and the terrace. A separate, cosy reading nook with a fireplace is located in the former entryway.
The large, open kitchen features a spacious breakfast table and all essential appliances (large refrigerator with freezer, stove with oven, dishwasher, etc.). A microwave, fully automatic coffee machine (DeLonghi), filter coffee maker, electric kettle, and toaster are located in the historic stove niche. The adjacent utility room houses a washing machine and dryer.
The holiday home features three bedrooms (three double beds, 180 × 200 cm) and two bathrooms (one with a shower and bathtub plus a sauna, and another with a shower). If you need even more space, a fourth bedroom (double bed, 160 × 200 cm) can be booked upon request.
The large, fenced-in garden (approx. 1,600 square metres) offers children plenty of space to run around and play. Parking is available right next to the house.
