Austrian countryside - picturesque tranquility

The host (who built the home) welcomed us in person at the cottage on arrival and showed us around and how to operate the sauna and hot tub. The home is a beautiful combination of old and new architecture. Everything is new and works perfectly. It’s walking distance to Modriach which is a beautiful little Austrian town with an alpine slide. There is a herd of sheep in the backyard. Wonderful for walking/running with miles of hills and beauty surrounding you. We came for the formula one weekend and commuted to the track. Coming from the south took only 54 min each day and there was no traffic and it was easy free parking. We found cute little towns to eat dinner in on our way back each day. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat this is your place!! There were 4 of us - 2 parents and two teenage kids but room for 2 more people as there was an extra bed in each of the two bedrooms. The host even had some treats in the fridge for us which was nice - wine, eggs, butter, milk and some other snacks. Highly recommend!!

Annie and her familiy are highly recommend! Very friendly and polite people... they left the chalet very clean and treated the chalet very considerate... so again, absolute recommendation!
