Look no further than Durst Haus, where you'll be treated to a main house, a studio, and a cabin on the same property near the center of downtown Fredericksburg. Each home features a comfortable living area, a flatscreen TV, and lovely outdoor space where you can sip local wine and admire the sunsets - all within easy walking distance of dining, shopping, and wine tasting on Main Street.

This property sits one block off Main Street in Fredericksburg, a town known for its historic charm, German heritage, and numerous wineries and tasting rooms. Hop on a local shuttle to take a wine-tasting tour of Highway 290, or take a short walk to check out the shops and restaurants all along Main Street. You'll also be well-placed to enjoy Fredericksburg Trade Days on the third Saturday of the month, featuring live music, wonderful food, and plentiful opportunities to shop. Should the rain ever decide to move in, the National Museum of the Pacific War and the Pioneer Museum are close by as well.

Enjoyed our family trip to Fredericksburg

We loved the town, walking, shopping, wine and chocolate tastings and a great German dinner and especially The Old German Bakery on Main St for breakfast. The property was rustic and quaint which suited our non- bougie family, but definitely not for discriminating or picky people! All in all it was a fun trip and a great bonding time for grandparents, parents and teenage to adult grandchildren.

Thanksgiving in Fredericksburg

Overall we loved the property. It was very charming and comfortable. The only thing we would have improved on is a better stocked kitchen. Since we had 9 people and wanted to cook in for Thanksgiving, were surprised there wasn't a full size oven and we were lacking in bowls for chili, and cooking utensils in the main kitchen. But we were able to find extra bowls and coffee mugs in the other buildings so most everything worked out just fine.

We booked this property for our wedding party and it was phenomenal! It was plenty of room for all 12 people, our 4 year old and dog. The pictures do not do it justice. We were already looking forward to arriving but we’re pleasantly surprised when we did. It was even more beautiful in person! Among the 12, there were 4 couples so it was very nice that they could each have their own bedroom without having to room with others. The interior design was gorgeous and it’s a very short drive/walk to Main Street. We are planning to go back!
