Amenities & Shared Spaces

Entertainment

The lower level den is your go-to hangout hub. Rack 'em up on the full pool table - complete with balls, sticks, chalk, and triangle - or step up to the dartboard for a friendly competition. It's the kind of space where kids' laughter and friendly trash talk echo well into the evening.

Kitchen & Dining

The well-stocked kitchen is ready for everything from morning coffee to full holiday spreads. You'll find a coffee maker, blender, crockpot, mixer, toaster, and a complete set of cookware including saucepans, stockpot, frying pan, and baking essentials. Dishes, glassware, and utensils are provided for every guest, plus wine glasses and a corkscrew for winding down in style. A knife block, cutting boards, and all the prep tools you'd expect round things out. A dishwasher handles cleanup, so you can get back to relaxing.

Kid-friendly extras include a dedicated kids' eating and drink set, a pack-and-play, and a high chair - thoughtful touches that make family trips genuinely easy.

Technology

One large 56-inch smart TV in the lower level den brings streaming and entertainment right to your hangout space. The remote is stored on the center shelf below the TV.

Laundry

A full washer and dryer are available on-site, located in the lower level HVAC closet area - a genuine convenience for longer stays or active outdoor trips.

Outdoor

Step out back and you've got layers of outdoor living. The propane grill by the shed is fully stocked with grilling utensils, ready for cookouts. (Propane refills are the guest's responsibility.) Follow the rock path off the back deck to your own wood fire pit, and cap the night in the private hot tub under a canopy of trees. It's the kind of outdoor setup that makes you want to stay one more night.

Community Amenities

Guests have access to a community area near the Youghiogheny River - ideal for a morning walk, a quiet sit by the water, or simply soaking up the natural surroundings that make this part of Maryland so special.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and provided plenty of space for our family of four. It’s clearly very well-maintained and offered a peaceful, quiet environment with a great sense of privacy. The location is perfect, tucked away yet conveniently close to several fantastic hikes. We did experience a minor delay getting our key fob at the Vacasa office, but thankfully it was resolved quickly. Overall, a highly positive experience and we’d love to return!

Great space indoors and outdoors. Loved being in the mountains and not far from the lake, restaurants, and shopping. Really enjoyed the falls and trails near the home. Would love to stay here again. Thank you for being pet friendly

View of the Rocks

This property met our expectations. Everything was as it is described in the listing. Plenty of room for everyone and kitchen was very well equipped. Clean and comfortable. Unfortunate run in with wasps on day one but we took care of them. Another fob would be helpful for groups that are not all coming and going at the same time. We would recommend this property for a beautiful mountain getaway.

Amazing gem of a place

Beautiful house with modern amenities and contemporary furnishing, and an incredible garden and fire pit. The Rocks is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet and secluded spot, but is also close to amazing rivers and hiking. We appreciated all of the small touches like lots of fresh towels, a well-stocked spice cabinet and a big laundry room with everything we needed. We did a lot of living, loving and laughing during our stay.

Fantastic place.

This place is so spacious and beautiful. We sat on the couch watching out the back in the woods, relaxing and watched deer and a baby fox just doing their thing. There’s activities for the kids relaxation for the parents. The house has plenty of space very well taken care of And exceptionally clean. I would highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway

We visited The Rocks for Spring Break for a quick getaway and it did not disappoint. For a house built in the 70’s, it was extremely clean and updated. The house was great but the property was even more amazing than the pictures. Having great hiking right around the corner was a plus too. We cooked for 10 people every night and the kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed. I’ve not stayed in a house better stocked. From towels neatly folded like a beautiful package in a fancy hotel, to the comfortable beds, fun games, fire pit and peaceful surroundings, we would give 10 stars if we could!

Fantastic house

What an amazing house. So much fun inside and outside. House has everything you need for a fun trip! You can enjoy a relaxing weekend curled up with a good book by the fire staring out at the wonderful rocks. Play pool, cards or watch a movie on the large tv. The yard is like a state park with trails through the rocks. So much fun outside climbing rocks, enjoying a bonfire, and eating out on the deck to take in the view. So close to Rock Maze, Swallow Falls, and only 20 minutes to Deep Creek and all the amenities at the lake! Can’t wait to come back, we had a great time!

Serene escape to Deep creek

Our visit to Deep Creek was everything we hoped for. The property was beautifully appointed with every amenity you could possibly need. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The host truly thought of everything, making it effortless to settle in and unwind. The location was a bit more remote than we thought but was wonderfully quiet—exactly what we were looking for. Please bit It takes about 15-20min drive to nearby McHenry for any type of restaurant or grocery store. The property is located near wisp resort but not within walking distance. As part of the check in process you will need to pick up a key fob beforehand but other than that,Check in was a breeze. Once we got there, we didn’t feel the need to leave. The entire property is enveloped by wooded area and you are in a private community. It was the kind of place that invites you to slow down. No rushing, no schedule—just space to relax. The host provide a spacious and well decorated home. Plenty of room for 6 adults to unwind, eat a good dinner and just spend time with each other. We especially enjoyed the pool table, board games and the hot tub in the evenings. It made for a perfect way to end our peaceful days. Swallow Falls was a short drive away and worth the visit, but even that didn’t feel like a “must do”—because being at the house was its own retreat. If you’re looking for a place to unplug, recharge, and breathe a little deeper, this is it.
