About this property

House SanMArtino - Holidays in a country house steeped in history

At Podere SanMartino you will spend your holiday in an approximately 600-year-old country house, situated on the Etruscan coast, in the heart of Tuscany.

Historically, SanMartino was described as a monastery for a long time, but in the course of time it was converted several times, first into a postal station, then into a pilgrimage site and later into an agricultural farm.

Today you can spend your holiday within these walls steeped in history, which we have rebuilt ourselves over the last 20 years with great attention to detail and still continue to do so.

We, your hosts, are a German emigrant family who discovered our love for Tuscany over 30 years ago. We would like to transport this feeling of life to our guests and immerse them in the local life.

We are a small family-run locanda (country house) with three units, each with its own entrance. On our grounds we have enough space to relax and enjoy, for mind, soul and pleasure.

The large pool as well as the many terraces with fantastic views, the old restored chapel (rustico) at the back of the building are accessible to all guests at SanMartino. In the newly renovated former stable and on the terrace in front of it, we regularly hold communal dinners where we cook for our guests. We always announce the menu prices before the evenings.

If you spend your holiday so close to the sea, you can of course immerse yourself in the Italian way of life on the nearby beaches.

In the supermarkets in the area you can get everything your heart desires to prepare on the barbecue or in the big kitchen in the evening.

If you don't want to cook for yourself after a long day at the beach, you can let yourself be cooked for in one of the numerous restaurants in the area. We will be happy to give you the right tips.

In the meantime, San Martino is also known for its excellent regional cuisine. We are happy to arrange a cosy evening for our guests by prior arrangement.

San Martino is a little pearl in Tuscany, and anyone who has spent a holiday here will always want to come back.

Sehr entspannter Urlaub in der Toscana

Wir haben den Aufenthalt bei Familie Walter sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder! Die ruhige Lage und das tolle Anwesen mit dem Pool, hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Es war alles wunderbar und schön, wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wir verbrachten 10 wunderschöne Tage in der Unterkunft Podere San Martino. Das Haus mit Pool ist wunderschön gelegen und bietet einen tollen Ausblick. Man befindet sich mitten in der Toskana und in so ist die Unterkunft auch mit Liebe zum Detail angelegt. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Die Gastgeber waren super freundlich, immer erreichbar und standen uns mit guten Tipps zur Seite. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder!

Gute Lage mit tollem Blick in die Toskana

Wir haben 2 schöne Wochen hier verbracht. Zu wichtigen Städten und zum Meer kommt man gut mit dem Auto, allerdings waren wir aufgrund der großen Hitze letztlich häufig auf dem Gelände, wo man sich frei bewegen kann, immer einen Schattenplatz findet und der Blick vom großen Pool ist grandios. Die netten Gastgeber geben wertvolle Tips und Timo bietet seine Kochkünste auch den Gästen an. So haben wir gemeinsam nette Abende mit anderen Gästen verbracht. Danke nochmal dafür!

Eines unserer schönsten und am besten ausgestatteten Häuser bisher in der Toscana. Superfreundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die mit viel Liebe und Herz dieses schöne Anwesen betreuen. Entspannte Tage zwischen Meer und toskanischen Städten

Ein großes Dankeschön an unsere Gastgeber, Familie Walter! Podere San Martino hat alles, was man braucht, um auch mit Kindern schöne Tage, die nie langweilig werden, zu verbringen. Ein schönes, großes Haus mit genialer Küche einem toll designten Bad, herrlichem Himmelbett und sehr viel Liebe zu jedem Detail. So möchte man Zuhause auch gerne wohnen! Dazu der Pool, die Katzen, genügend Platz zum Ballspielen, draußen grillen und essen. Das Meer mit dem Karibik-blauen Strand von Vada ganz nah, Pisa, Volterra und Arezzo auch nicht weit. Wir haben es sehr genossen, zu jeder Zeit einen Ansprechpartner zu haben und immer zum Zusammensitzen willkommen zu sein, haben uns aber nie genötigt gefühlt, wenn wir einfach mal ganz für uns sein wollten. Äußert angenehm! Summa summarum: eine Woche lang nur fröhliche Gesichter bei Groß und Klein - in welchem Urlaub hatten wir das schon mal? Danke, wir fanden's großartig!

Im Paradies

13 Tage Urlaub in diesem schönen, sehr großzügigen und wunderbar eingerichteten Ferienhaus kamen uns vor wie ein Aufenthalt im Paradies. Nicht nur das Innere, sondern auch die Außenanlagen von Podere San Martino sind liebevoll und stimmig angelegt: ein wunderbarer Garten mit vielen lauschigen Sitzecken und einem herrlichen Pool sorgen für absolutes Wohlfühlen und Entspannung. Für uns war der grandiose, weit in die Ferne gehende Blick in die bezaubernde toskanische Landschaft das Schönste an unserem Aufenthalt bei einer sehr gastfreundlichen und aufmerksamen Familie. Traumhafter Urlaub in sehr schöner Umgebung

Super schönes Anwesen in traumhafter und ruhiger Umgebung. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und lädt durch die gemütliche Einrichtung zu schönen Stunden mit der Familie ein. Tolle Location

Die Lage, ist super, der Pool ein Traum. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit und immer ansprechbar. Das Haus ist sehr ansprechend ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sehr schön eingerichtet. Im Freien gibt es genügend Möglichkeiten, sich an an ruhiges Plätzcen zurückzuziehen. Die Zufahrt ist mit tiefer gelegten Autos mit Vorsicht zu geniessen, für normalen PKW kein Problem.

Einfach fantastisch

Wir haben auf Podere San Martino einen unserer schönsten und erholsamsten Urlaube verbracht. Das Ferienhaus ist wunderbar. Frau und Herr Walter sind hervorragende Gastgeber und haben uns jederzeit mit Tipps zu Restaurants und den schönsten Stränden zu einem noch schöneren Urlaub verholfen. Ganz herzlich möchten wir uns auch für die Einladung und den tollen Abend bedanken, bei dem Frau Walter für uns gekocht hat - es war fantastisch. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Wir haben sehr schöne Familienferien bei den Walters genossen. Sehr zuvorkommend und super eingerichtet. Für Familienferien perfekt geeignet. Nahe am White-Beach und sehr schön gelegen. Im Dorf gibt es alles, was man braucht. Unbedingt auch das Abendessen von Frau Walter geniessen... einfach genial. Wir kommen gerne wieder - und vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft. Einfach wunderschön!

Der Aufenthalt auf Podere San Martino bei Familie Walter war einfach herrlich, nur leider viel zu kurz. Das Anwesen ist sehr großzügig gestaltet und bietet mehreren Parteien gleichzeitig die Möglichkeit, sich ungestört im Freien aufzuhalten. Viele liebevoll angelegte Rückzugsorte rund um das Haus laden zum Lesen, Spielen, Sonnen, Essen oder einfach nur Genießen ein. Der Pool krönt das Ganze noch. Beim Baden hat man einen herrlichen und unverbauten Blick auf die Felder der Toskana. Genial! Die Unterkunft ist sauber und mit viel Stil und Geschmack eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich gleich sehr wohl und möchte eigentlich sofort einziehen. In der Küche hat uns am ersten Tag eine herrlich gefüllte Schale mit frischem Gemüse vom Bauern erwartet. Zusätzlich hat uns Frau Walter ein Glas ihres feinen, selbst gemachten Sugos gegeben. Das war super lecker und wir haben uns gleich willkommen gefühlt. Familie Walter ist sehr hilfsbereit und gibt gerne Tipps für Ausflüge oder zum Essen gehen. Sie prägen mit ihrer aufgeschlossenen Art eine familiäre Atmosphäre, so dass man sich richtig heimisch fühlt. Wir hatten einen super Urlaub auf Podere San Martino und sagen DANKE an Familie Walter. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wiederkommen!

Wunderschönes Haus, sehr gut gelegen mit tollen Gastgebern

Ein wirklich sehr schön und mit Liebe zum Detail renoviertes Haus. Unser Apartment hatte drei toll renovierte sehr große Schlafzimmer und 2 große Bäder mit Dusche bzw. Badewanne. Die Küche, das Esszimmer und auch die Flure sind auch groß genug für ganz große Familien (Wir verreisten mit 3 Kindern und Hund). Die Lage ist für die Toskana super. Im nahe gelegenen Ort gibt es einen Supermarkt und 4 gute Restaurants. Zum Meer fährt man nur 20min und nach Pisa ist es auch nicht weit. Selbst Volterra schafft man in 1 Std fahrt. Ich kann das Haus nur jedem empfehlen der sowohl Ruhe sucht, wie aber auch Unternehmungen planen möchte. Kurz und knapp. Haus super, Lage super, Wohnung und Küche toll, Pool gigantisch, Internet sehr gut, Gastgeber Klasse. So muss Urlaub sein :-)

Ein schöner Urlaub

Das Grundstück als auch das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sauber. Nur 5 Minuten vom Haus entfernt gibt es einen kleinen Laden für Lebensmittel (Coop), etwa 20 Minuten entfernt gibt es einen großen Coop. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt, vielen lieben Dank für die Gastfreundschaft liebe Familie Walter!

Wunderschönes Anwesen in ländlicher Umgebung

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Anlage ist mit viel Liebe gestaltet, der Ausblick ist traumhaft. Urlaub mit Familienanschluss 😊. Die Vermieter sind vor Ort und helfen mit vielen Tipps weiter. Wir sind wunderbar bekocht worden und haben schöne Abende in der ehemaligen Kapelle verbracht.
