We had a wonderful stay while visiting our son at college. It was so nice to have a comfortable place where he could stay with us for the weekend and we could spend some quality time together. We especially loved having a full kitchen so we could cook him a home-cooked dinner — something he was definitely missing! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was very convenient for visiting our son, and check-in and check-out were easy. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we would definitely stay here again on future visits!
Comfortable, clean, and well equipped. If you’re staying in the area, then I would definitely recommend this house. It is roomier than I had expected. The beds and couch were comfortable. It has a small window AC unit in each bedroom. The window units kept things cool enough, but they were just a bit noisy at night when they turned on --- but certainly no worse than a standard hotel AC unit. Communication with the owner was easy, and she was very accommodating for our late arrival time.
This is a very nice property and Amy was the perfect host. A couple of things I need to mention:There is NO air conditioning. As visitors from the South, we forgot that many homes in the North do not have this feature. Not a deal breaker, but it bears mentioning that the house did get to 78 inside in the afternoon and stayed there until well after 10 PM. A few portable fans would be a welcome addition, just to get some air moving. Also, as frequent VRBO renters we are used to small amenities, like salt and pepper, and some type of sugar or other sweetener for our coffee (which was provided, thank you!) The kitchen was, however, otherwise well equipped enough to cook small, simple meals. The neighbors in the adjoining unit do smoke, so when the windows were open we got the full benefit of their residual smoke, and had to close the windows during peak heat hours. That was unfortunate. Also they have dogs, which we heard barking. A LOT, since the windows needed to be open. There is one window without a screen, one with a screen so warped it was useless, and one in the kitchen with holes in it so we had a few ant visitors. This is a nice property and it served our needs, but please understand that there is room for improvement. Overall, a nice stay. We will not need to visit Byron again, but if we did, I would be more prepared.Do not let this review deter you from renting, the beds are comfy and the location is secluded yet close to the thruway and anything else you need.

Thank you for the honest response. This is our first rental which just started in June. We have installed air conditioners in each bedroom this week. I will take care of the other amenities.
This is a great place to stay. It’s in the country but still close enough to town and places to go eat if you didn’t want to cook at home. Plenty of room to spread out. Amy is wonderful, she gets right back to you with any of your questions. Would definitely consider this place again!
Very well priced 3 bedroom. The host responded promptly and was very helpful. They left all of the necessities for a long weekend - coffee, ziplock bags, soap, etc. The beds were very comfortable. The house was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
We were excited to find this location last minute, but were a little nervous since there were no reviews yet. Let me tell you - it did not disappoint! Everything was exactly as described. The place was extremely clean and appeared to be recently renovated (fresh paint, new trim, etc.). We were in town for a family reunion so didn't get to spend much time at the house other than to sleep and breakfast, but there were games, kids toys, coffee, tea, and plenty of space to move about. The filter for fresh drinking water as well as the shower head filter were nice touches as well! The host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating.
