At the junction of the Strelasund and the Greifswalder Bodden lies the coastal hiking trail within the nature reserve, offering a magnificent view across the Bodden to Rügen. Here, you can observe the many waterbirds that nest in the area year-round, such as seagulls, swans, coots, terns, and especially the popular migratory birds—the grey goose and the famous Grus Grus (cranes).
