We were in town for a wedding weekend. We had a total of 6 adults that stayed here. The wedding was at Countryside Banquet and Catering in Washington, IL. So the drive was simple and under 15 minutes from the Cottage on Columbus . We also enjoyed walking to the restaurants, ice cream at The Daily Scoop and Pour Brothers Craft Taproom as well as the local outstanding bakery, Trefzger’s. Known for scrumptious items but my fav are the thumb print cookies. This is a nice and safe neighborhood for night life. The Cottage on Columbus is just as safe and sits in a quiet neighborhood. We all had comfy sleeps - the upstairs loft might be challenging for a tall person due to the angled ceilings - however it’s spacious. The whole cottage was decorated nice, not overdone, simple but tasteful and very clean! Loved the options of games, bikes and extra tv in the garage/arcade area. We will return.

Being into great food and night life I chose this neighborhood as an active real-estate investor for our short term rental because it is in the best area to be be in walking distance to food, live music, and bars.
