The main feature we love about the house is that it sits on a river perfect for summer dipping and exploring. There is also a nice, big fire pit near the river. The bedrooms are all of modest size which encourages our family to convene together in the recent living room addition, which is semi-open to both the dining room and kitchen. That is where it feels best to do most of the living. We have an ample mudroom/foyer for getting out of wet and dirty clothes in inclement weather. If visiting in the winter, we have a wonderful West German wood-burning stove that creates the perfect "hygge" experience. If visiting in the summer, the berries and/or fruit trees may be producing, which you are welcome to pick.

Why they chose this property
Mill River is a bucolic village in the southern Berkshires tucked away in what feels like a secret hamlet. What we love most about it are its natural features like the Konkapot river behind the house and the Umpachene Falls Park a mile down the road from us. It’s also a very friendly and close knit neighborhood that’s feels especially safe for queer families.
What makes this property unique
In the summertime the Konkapot River behind the house is what makes the property so special.
