1 Bedroom Island Cottage-Water View-Walk to Downtown

Welcome to our newly renovated 450 sq ft one-bedroom, one-bath cottage.

Located on Pleasant Street, just a 5 minute walk to downtown and 0.7 miles to the ferry landing.

We look forward to hosting you on Vinalhaven!

The space
The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood just a 10-minute walk from the ferry landing. Walk to downtown in about 5 minutes for coffee, groceries, or to check out the local shops, brewery and art gallery. Just a short drive to Lane's Island Preserve (one of our favorite places on the island!), swimming quarries, and hiking trails.

There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and water views of Indian Creek. The living room has a futon with a full-sized bed on the bottom and a twin bunk on top.

One bathroom with a shower.

Kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, oven, stove and basic essentials - including a lobster pot!

Coffee, sugar, non-dairy creamer and variety of spices and oil provided.

Deck with gas grill and picnic table available for guest use.

Coin-operated laundry available.

We’re excited to share the space and appreciate guests who enjoy being among the first to experience it.

Vinalhaven is accessible only by ferry or private boat. There is round-trip service to/from Rockland. Schedules change seasonally. Please check the Maine State Ferry Service website for details. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended in the summer months, especially if bringing a car. Reservations can be made 30 days prior to travel date.

There are bike rentals available in Rockland. Please note, there is a fee to bring a bike on the ferry. We also have a couple of adult bikes available for use for an additional fee. Inquire if interested.

Cell service may be limited, depending upon your provider - embrace the slow pace.
