Admittedly, from the outside, our house isn’t exactly a gem. At first glance, the main house—built in the ’60s—doesn’t necessarily make you feel “at home.” But our holiday rental—renovated in 2025—is very inviting, and we’re always sprucing it up a little more. Because we want you to feel completely at home!

The apartment is located in the basement/partial basement, so the windows are smaller, but the temperature in the summer is very pleasant. The staircase leading down to the semi-basement is an adventure in itself—some of you might want to duck your heads. By the way, there’s no “standard” ceiling height anywhere in the apartment—after all, it used to be a basement.

We also recommend bringing slippers. The entire apartment is covered with modern, durable flooring, and we’ve placed a warm rug in front of each bed—but it’s still a basement. Just in case, we also have slippers available on-site.

A long hallway with two bedrooms (one of which we renovated in early 2026) and a large bathroom leads to the kitchen, the two-part living room, and the third bedroom. The fact that the kitchen opens onto the living room is a real plus, since we weren’t able to install a window in the kitchen—but you don’t really notice it. We received feedback that our kitchen table was too small, so we quickly got a nice rollable buffet cart.

Our holiday rental for 1 to 4 people, measuring approximately 80 square metres, was freshly renovated in early 2025. Equipped with blackout curtains and mosquito nets, you can keep the light in—or the mosquitoes out—whenever you like.

The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, as well as a coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave, and toaster. Our extras include a hand mixer with mixing bowl, digital kitchen scale, sandwich maker, immersion blender, and baking pans. If you notice that something important is missing during your stay, just let us know.

Three bedrooms await you—two with a single bed and one with a double bed. Each bedroom has a closet and a TV with satellite reception. The bedrooms with single beds each feature a small, equipped desk with a chair, while the large bedroom has a small armchair, offering additional spaces for work and relaxation.

The apartment’s layout is also ideal for up to 4 technicians. There are several private spaces as well as an inviting common area/living room.

The new bathroom features a large shower and plenty of space for your personal belongings. Unfortunately, the window can only be tilted open for ventilation, but you’ll manage just fine. The bathroom also includes a washing machine and drying space on the large towel radiator.

Towels are included, as are a hair dryer, bed linens, tea towels, cleaning rags, and cleaning supplies.

As you can see in the photos, the living room has an interesting layout with two seating areas. It isn’t very large, but the opening to the open-concept kitchen creates a comfortable space to relax. Read a book in the separate reading nook, doze off on the sofa, or pick out a film on our new smart TV. Opinions vary when it comes to the comfort of the seating. We’re always working on improvements and welcome any feedback.

The covered patio is located right outside the front door and is furnished with a large wooden table, a bench, and chairs. It’s very sheltered, so even the brisk breeze up here in the north won’t bother you. 

If you’re travelling with a dog, please let us know. We provide various supplies such as an orthopedic dog mat, water bowl, and food bowl. We can also provide a sofa blanket upon request. Just one request: please don’t let your little fur friend on the bed!

Free Wi-Fi is also available. Please note: Cell phone reception in the basement isn’t always reliable. It’s best to make calls using the Wi-Fi.

Bicycles can also be stored on the covered terrace. We’re planning to build a bike shed.
