About this property

Lakefront Art Studio. Pet Friendly!

Come paddle board with the turtles, or fish from the dock on the pristine waters of White Lake. BC's best kept secret. This shipping container tiny home is full of rustic charm with modern amenities. We are seconds to bike and hiking trails, a kids playground and pickleball courts. Our crystal clear water is famous for swimming, paddling and fishing. Warm up at the end of a day around the campfire and share marshmallows and stories. The cozy cabin has original shipping container charm with added post and beam features. There is a comfy queen bed with natural linens as well as a futon couch which folds to a double. Fridge, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee maker and BBQ are everything you need to cook during your stay. There is a small bathroom tucked in the corner with flush toilet and shower. Outside there is plenty of garden space to play or sit. A short walk down the garden path takes you to the waterfront where there are chairs to enjoy the lake both on land and on the dock.

We couldn't have asked for a better lakeside experience. The property backs right onto the lakeshore and there's a dock, Adirondack chairs to enjoy swimming and paddling from on the dock. The bed was super comfortable and the little kitchen was ideal for our meal prep. There was a nice little patio to sit on right outside the unit. The hosts Susan and Kerry were great folks. A perfect getaway for two!

I am so glad you picked our little piece of paradise to celebrate your anniversary. We enjoyed having you both and your two furry friends. Next time, bring your guitar so we can jam.

Kerry and I ran a large resort in the Shuswap for over 10 years. After moving to White Lake we decided we should share it as well. We love hosting people. We live on the property with my senior mom. Family is important to us and on a really hot day, my sister or brother usually stop in for a quick swim. We do, however, understand that guests coming may want privacy and are quick to read the situation. We have a large garden with plenty to share so feel free to ask what is available. We also have 2 cats, Peter and Milo and a bernese mountain dog named Bella. She is very well behaved and has had a busy summer meeting all my guests and their pets.

Why they chose this property

White Lake is a spectacular lake. Well known for its year round fishing and pristine water for paddling and swimming. I walk the road every morning with neighbors and we pretty much all know each other. You are welcome to join the walk as well. Because we are in such a rural area, expect to see wildlife like deer, rabbits, turtles, fish, and many more.

What makes this property unique

The Tiny home was originally built as an art studio. Unfortunately, winter wasn't kind on my paints and we turned it into a Vacation home instead. The original floor is still there and many other sea can features. Because of the rough floor there are complimentary slippers at the front door, or just wear your shoes. There is not a lot of power available, so we ask guests to be mindful of what is plugged in. Too many appliances running and the breaker will blow. Water is also something to use sparingly. There is lots in the lake, just not in the seacan.
