The charming café town of Alingsås, also known as the capital of fika, attracts visitors with its cobbled streets, wooden houses and the smell of coffee and pastries. The fika culture in Alingsås dates back to the 18th century and with the town's many cafés and bakeries, this Swedish tradition is still thriving. Enjoy the wide range of culture, food, nature and events on offer here - there is something for everyone. Go fishing, take advantage of the excellent conditions for adventures on two wheels, explore the many lakes in the area, hike in the Brobacka nature reserve with its mighty potholes or try a guided fika tour and discover the picturesque town with its unique culture.
