The cosy "Franz" holiday apartment is located on the ground floor of our house, in the former blacksmith’s shop. It features a fenced-in outdoor area with a terrace. You can enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the sunshine on the rustic furniture or wind down your day with a glass of wine.
The apartment has a hallway with a spacious closet, a coat rack, and a mirror. At approximately 40 m², it is perfectly equipped for two people. The kitchen features a stove with an oven, an exhaust hood, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a toaster, a coffee maker, a kettle, and all the kitchen utensils you’ll need. The living room features a comfortable dining area and a couch that can be converted into a double bed (1.40 m x 1.90 m) if needed. Of course, a smart TV and Wi-Fi are also available here.
The bedroom isn’t very large, but the double bed—refurbished in a “vintage style” and equipped with new slatted frames and mattresses—makes it very cosy! A shower, a toilet, and a “retro-style” sink fit well into the ambiance of this apartment. Its character comes from the exposed sandstone and the rooms, which have been furnished with great attention to detail. You can check in starting at 4:00 PM and check out by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Parking is available right next to the house in our private car park.
The Drei-Brüder-Hof is located in Saxon Switzerland, not far from the Eastern Ore Mountains, in the town of Rosenthal-Bielathal. The famous Hercules Pillars are less than a 30-minute walk away, and many hiking trails begin right behind the house. You can cross the German-Czech border in just a few minutes via hiking trails. In the holiday home, you’ll find many suggestions for additional hikes that we’ve already taken ourselves. If it’s too hot to go hiking in the summer, you can cool off for free at the natural swimming pool in the village.
In the fall, you can gather plenty of porcini mushrooms and chestnuts in the surrounding forests. In the village itself, there’s a well-stocked supermarket, a butcher, and Rosenthaler honey available fresh from the honey vending machine. If you’re craving a cold beer after a strenuous hike, you’ll find refuge at the rustic “Erbgericht” inn. In winter, you can sit comfortably by the fireplace, and in summer, in the garden.
Right next to the Drei-Brüder-Hof is a nature-oriented riding ranch. Whether you’re young or old, if you’re in the mood for a riding lesson—or even several—you can really enjoy yourself here. No prior experience is required.
In case of bad weather, a trip to the thermal baths in Bad Schandau (30 minutes by car) or to Dresden’s Old Town (one hour by car) is also well worth it.
