Welcome to The Mercy Studio - a rustic, design-led retreat in the heart of Mabushi.
This thoughtfully curated studio blends warm minimalism with African craft: raw concrete textures, handwoven wall art, cane and teak furniture, and soft ambient lighting that makes the whole space feel like a quiet exhale after a long day.
The queen bed sits beneath a hand-loomed wall hanging, dressed in crisp white linens and a waffle-knit throw. A well equipped kitchenette and a washing machine and drier - means you can cook, do laundry, and settle in like it's home. The bathroom is clean-lined and bright, with a floating vessel sink and all the essentials stocked.
You're just minutes from some of Abuja's best dining and coffee - Wuse 2 and Maitama's restaurant and café scene is a short drive away. Check the in-room welcome guide for our personal recommendations on where to eat, drink, and explore.
Every detail was chosen with intention - from the mosaic tile back splash to the woven storage baskets - because we believe where you stay shapes how you feel while you're away.
Perfect for: solo travellers, remote workers, and couples wanting a calm, private base in Abuja

About the host
Hosted by TC
I'm TC - Nigerian by background, currently based between Lagos and Kigali, where I work in the poultry industry by day and build small hospitality and design projects on the side. The Mercy Studio is one of those projects: a space I put together myself, piece by piece, because I wanted somewhere that felt calm and intentional rather than generic. I care about the details - the linens, the lighting, the little welcome touches - because I know what it's like to arrive somewhere tired and just want it to feel right immediately. I'm usually quick to respond if you need anything, and our on-site caretaker Sunday is always close by too.
Why they chose this property
Mabushi sits in a quiet, residential pocket of Abuja, but it's only minutes from Wuse 2 and Maitama - two of the city's best areas for restaurants, cafés, and evening spots. I wanted guests to have that balance: a peaceful place to actually rest, without being far from where the city's energy is. It's also well-connected for getting around, whether you're here for work, a wedding, or just passing through.
What makes this property unique
The Mercy Studio was designed with a Japandi aesthetic - clean lines, natural materials, warm neutral tones - which is a different feel from the typical short-let apartment in Abuja. Every piece, from the woven wall art to the cane furniture, was chosen with intention rather than furnished off a checklist. Guests also get a full branded welcome guide with local recommendations, so it never feels like you're figuring things out on your own. It's a small space, but every detail in it was considered.
