The tower stands in the water, jutting out onto a peninsula directly into the Schlei. Through the 9-meter-long panoramic window front with its small balcony, you’ll have a view of the marina below, across the Marienbad, all the way to the Hüttener Mountains. Within walking distance are the classic-looking brick building of the Higher Regional Court and the impressive Gottorf Castle, featuring art exhibitions and a sculpture garden. The baroque garden there features the unique, walk-through “ Globus. ” The city centre is about 2 km away via the Schlei Promenade and the Königswiesen City Park. It’s also 2 km to the Viking Village and Haddebyer Noor. The large Viking museum village of Haithabu is well worth a visit for its size and diversity. A small beach is located about 1 km away. You can go for a swim in the Schlei and then enjoy a cappuccino with a view of the Schlei and the Viking Tower. There’s also a mini-golf course right nearby. Schleswig and the surrounding area are also easy to explore by rental bike. By bike, car, or sailboat, you can reach the diverse and unique landscapes of the north, the Baltic Sea or the North Sea, Eckernförde (23 km), Flensburg (36 km), Husum (38 km), and Kiel (50 km)—all wonderful day trips. Leisure activities such as hiking, biking, sailing, boat tours, horseback riding, and many others are available in and around Schleswig!<br><br>Holiday apartment on the 22nd floor of the Wikingturm with a stunning view of the Schlei. Separate bedroom with a double bed, comfortably equipped kitchen, and bathroom with a bathtub. <br><br>You can bring your own bed linens and towels or rent them for 10.00 euros per person.
