We welcome you to Haus 13!
Located right in the heart of the southern Black Forest, between Furtwangen and Donaueschingen, you’ll find our Haus 13.
Surrounded by the picturesque scenery of the Black Forest and the fresh mountain air at an elevation of 850 metres, we offer you a place to relax and unwind far away from your everyday life.
Be our guest and enjoy not only our beautiful Haus 13 but also our large property (8,500 square metres). Here, you, your family, and friends (up to 17 people) will have plenty of space for numerous activities for all ages.
In November 2025, Haus 13 was certified with 5 stars by the German Tourism Association.
Like all houses in the valley, this house is not connected to the public water supply but has its own water source. We generously expanded this source in 2019. Although Haus 13 is located in a region known as the “Land of Springs,” climate change is noticeable here as well. It’s important to realise that we are connected to Mother Nature—not to the public water supply!

We offer a wide variety of holiday experiences: whether you want to explore nature or bake your own bread using fresh ingredients in our private bakehouse (Häussle oven).
At the back of the garden, you’ll find a spacious play area. Here, our younger guests will enjoy a lovely playground as well as a sandpit with a water supply. A basketball court—which can also be used for volleyball and badminton—rounds out the play area.
There are also seating areas scattered throughout the garden.
Next to the bakery, there is a covered area where you can barbecue, bake, or sit together comfortably and wind down the evening with a glass of wine by the fire pit.
House 13 is divided into different areas:
The Angela holiday rental accommodates up to 4 people. It features 2 floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows offering a beautiful view of the garden and the Black Forest. You’ll also find a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, as well as an interior bathroom with natural light, featuring a shower, toilet, and sink. The Angela holiday apartment features a double bed, a sleeper sofa for two children, and a TV with a DVD player.
The Marie holiday apartment can accommodate up to 4 adults and 3 children. Like the Angela holiday apartment, it is a one-room apartment and features a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, a large dining table, a wood-burning stove, and a west-facing balcony. The apartment’s bathroom is located outside the unit on the same floor and is equipped with a shower, sink, and toilet.
The highlight of the apartment is a small loft accessible via a ladder. It features a mattress platform and serves as a sleeping area for up to 3 children. For the adults, there is a double bed and a sleeper sofa, which are placed right next to each other.
The main apartment is a duplex located on the ground floor and ground floor of the house. It features a fully equipped kitchen and adjoins the “Herzzimmer,” which is furnished with a dining table, benches, and a wood-burning stove. Adjacent to the “Herzzimmer” is the living room with a corner sofa and TV.
An interior staircase leads from the “Herzzimmer” to the ground floor. There you’ll find a fully equipped bathroom with natural light, featuring a sink, shower, toilet, and bathtub, as well as two additional rooms. The first room is furnished with a table and a corner bench and offers a beautiful view of the garden from the balcony. Optionally, this room can accommodate up to 2 children or teenagers on a pull-out bed. This room serves as a “playroom,” as it contains many board games.
The second room features a double bed, a bunk bed, and a spacious closet. It also has a balcony overlooking the garden.
Another highlight is our large, lovingly furnished, and well-equipped kitchen-dining area. Here, after a long, eventful day, everyone can gather together and wind down with good food and great conversation.
