Apt 1 - Between Sea and Mountains

Summary:

Our apartment was completed in Q1 2023 and features a cozy, modern Scandinavian style. This is Apartment no. 1 of three apartments in the house, located in charming Oyndarfjørður, surrounded by mountains and the sea. The famous rocking stones and hiking trails are just a 5-minute walk away. The shared hot tub/jacuzzi and bioethanol fireplace are available for DKK 250/hour. Please arrange before arrival so we can prepare everything.



The Space:

The apartment has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a modern Scandinavian interior. It is thoughtfully furnished to provide a comfortable place to relax after a day of exploring the Faroe Islands, while offering everything you need for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.



Guest Access:

The house is divided into three separate apartments. This is Apartment 2, and you will have private access to the entire apartment during your stay. The apartment is fully separated from the other units, giving you a private and comfortable space.



The Neighborhood:

Oyndarfjørður is an authentic and peaceful Faroese village surrounded by beautiful mountains and the sea. The famous rocking stones and several hiking trails are only a 5-minute walk away. The village offers a quiet and scenic setting while still being a convenient base for exploring the Faroe Islands.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended for exploring the Faroe Islands. From Oyndarfjørður, it is approximately a 30-minute drive to Tórshavn and many popular attractions. The location also makes it easy to travel to other parts of the country and explore the different islands.



Other Things to Note:

To ensure your stay is as comfortable and tailored as possible, please keep the following guidelines and optional services in mind:



Weather Preparation: Faroese weather is famously dynamic and can shift rapidly within minutes. We strongly advise packing layered, wind- and waterproof clothing alongside sturdy, broken-in hiking boots.



Standard Times: Standard check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is requested by 10:00 AM.



Extra Flexibility & Equipment:



Early Check-in / Late Check-out: Available upon request for an additional fee, subject to prior confirmation and availability.



Family Gear: Traveling with an infant? A baby crib and high chair can be provided for an additional fee (must be requested in advance).



Local Tourism Tax: A mandatory local tourism tax and administration fee apply to all overnight stays in accordance with regional regulations, which will be arranged separately prior to arrival.
