Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war sauber und eine Erstausstattung in Küche und Bad vorhanden. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, man hat nicht nur abgezähltes Geschirr. Trotz vieler Gäste mit Hund war es sehr ruhig im Haus. Das Bad ist neu renoviert und mit allem ausgestattet. Fön ist vorhanden. Im Eingangsbereich gibt es einen Getränkekühlschrank, falls einem die Getränke ausgegangen sind oder man auf etwas bestimmtes gerade Lust hat. Das haben wir gerne genutzt. Parkplätze gibt es ausreichend. Ein kleiner Einkaufsladen ist fußläufig zu erreichen, allerdings fanden wir die Brötchen nicht so gut. Das muss aber jeder selbst entscheiden. In Stiege ist ein Besuch der Stabkirche sehr zu empfehlen. Ansonsten kann man von Stiege die Umgebung gut erkunden. Wir waren auf der Suche nach Harzer Wandernadelstempeln und Geocaches. Kann man hier sehr gut machen.
