This half-timbered country house is situated on a hill in the Baumberge region. You’ll stay in the restored “Altes Backhaus.” Furnished with antique farmhouse furniture, it offers a particularly cosy atmosphere. Enjoy the view of the rose garden, featuring historic English roses and rare heirloom roses, as well as the sweeping hilly landscape of the Baumberge. The country house is situated in a rural setting between Coesfeld and Billerbeck. The peaceful surroundings are dominated by meadows and fields. The Merfelder Bruch, home to the famous wild horses, and the Longinus Tower (the highest point in the Münsterland region) are just 15 km away. The imposing Billerbeck Cathedral is approximately 6 km away. The city centre area of Coesfeld is about 5.5 km away. A special tip for culture lovers is the excellent Concert Theatre in Coesfeld.

Nestled amid the green hills of the Baumberge, it offers all the amenities for a carefree and relaxing stay across two levels, without sacrificing the unique ambiance of a century-old half-timbered farmhouse. With its old beamed ceiling and antique farmhouse furniture, a four-poster bed, and an electric fireplace in the sleeping area, it provides exceptional cosiness, and the wood-burning stove in the “Upkamer,” the farmers’ former “fine” parlour, creates a cosy and warm atmosphere.

The historic, fully functional baking oven in the entryway—which gives this unique home its name—is something truly special and bakes wonderfully rustic bread.

There is also a kitchenette furnished with great attention to detail, including a dishwasher, microwave, oven, and toaster.
The modern bathroom, equipped with a hair dryer, towels, soap, and shower gel, features a spacious walk-in shower; a vintage-style sink rounds out the inviting ambiance.
And out the back, overlooking the paddock and the rolling hills, lies the little rose garden—for your exclusive use—featuring historic and old-fashioned farm roses, as well as lounge chairs and seating.
