A Warm Welcome

Hello and a warm welcome to Steinbach-Hallenberg in the beautiful Thuringian Forest.
Located right on the Rennsteig trail and very close to the well-known winter sports resort of Oberhof.
Our small, cosy half-timbered cottage lies at the foot of the Arzberg and serves as a great starting point for numerous hikes and excursions. For example, discover the landmark and namesake ruin of our town, the Hallenburg. Whether you climb it on your own or take a guided hike with our castle warden, it’s always an exciting experience—even for the youngest visitors. Or plan a trip to Oberhof to visit the thermal baths or the indoor ski hall if the weather isn’t cooperating. Of course, you can also leave your car behind and take the train to Schmalkalden or Zella-Mehlis.

“Am Arzberg” Holiday Home

Centrally located, you can reach the town centre in just a few minutes, where you’ll find various shopping options, the tourist information office, and stops for the ski bus.
With 140 m³ of living space distributed across 3 bedrooms (2 with double beds and one with a sleeper sofa), a bathroom/toilet, a separate toilet, a comfortable kitchen, and a living area—all featuring a fireplace—we offer plenty of space for 6 people to relax. The kitchen includes a stove with an oven, a refrigerator and freezer, a dishwasher, a kettle, a toaster, and a coffee maker.
To ensure your holiday begins the moment you arrive, we provide bed linens and towels.
Please also note that our holiday home is a smoke-free property.
In addition, there is a small patio behind the house that’s perfect for barbecuing or relaxing.
