The “DECK 11” holiday rental

Among the major highlights of the “DECK 11” holiday rental, which has been lovingly furnished in a Scandinavianmaritime style includes the large garden with a fully furnished terrace, a cosy beach chair overlooking the bay—and direct access to the beach. In just a few metres, you’ll be right at the water’s edge. It doesn’t get any closer than this!

The apartment is located on the ground floor of the complex and can be accessed both through the main entrance and through the fully fenced-in garden. For a spontaneous trip to the beach, you can quickly lock the patio door and the gate with your apartment key. This way, “your” apartment is always secure.

“DECK 11” features sustainable, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient furnishings. The owners placed great emphasis on keeping the furnishings as plastic-free as possible. The floor is covered with oak parquet; the kitchen features real wood cabinet fronts; and all furniture and furnishings are made of wood, metal, or primarily natural materials. LED lighting, energy- and water-efficient appliances wherever possible, and solar thermal energy in the heating system responsibly round out the eco-friendly concept. In this way, you contribute to climate-friendly tourism without having to sacrifice any comfort. 

The approximately 53 square metres of this charming, high-quality holiday home are divided into a large living/dining room, a bathroom with a shower, a bedroom with a double bed, and an interior bedroom with a bunk bed.

All rooms are equipped with flat-screen TVs. Wi-Fi is, of course, also available free of charge.

A large window wall facing the patio and garden lets plenty of natural light into the apartment and enhances the bright, welcoming atmosphere. The interior bedroom also receives ample natural light through its large window facing the living area. An automatic ventilation system ensures that the room is always filled with fresh air.

You can enjoy the sun for hours on the southwestern-facing, wind-protected, and partially covered terrace. The house’s dark clinker bricks store the sun’s heat during the day and radiate it back into the room well into the late evening. This allows you to enjoy your time on the terrace for even longer.

And if it does happen to rain, a cosy sofa invites you to relax. Or you can cook up something delicious in the fully equipped kitchen. In addition to a dishwasher, induction stove with oven, and refrigerator with freezer, you’ll also find a coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, and an espresso machine. You can play your favourite music through the provided Bluetooth speaker.

Children can listen to the CDs they’ve brought along on the CD player in the small bedroom. Additional games, puzzles, and a colourful selection of books provide further entertainment.

The spacious bathroom features an extra-large shower and a toilet with soft-close technology. You can warm your towels comfortably on the towel radiator.

The bedrooms have spacious closets with plenty of room to store your luggage. 

For young families, a baby food warmer is included in the inventory; additional items—such as a cot, high chair, toilet seat reducer, etc. —can be booked through the Hohwacht Holiday Rental Agency.

A utility room attached to the apartment also offers space for a washer-dryer, ironing board and iron, your shoes, suitcases, strollers, or other items. This private room is accessible separately via the hallway and can also be unlocked with the apartment key.

In addition to two spaces in the building’s bike storage room, the apartment naturally also includes its own parking space.

The “Meeresblick” holiday complex, completed in 2020, is located in the tranquil resort town of Hohwacht, idyllically situated on Hohwacht Bay along Schleswig-Holstein’s Baltic Sea coast. The village, with a population of just over 800 and its romantic cliffs, is flanked by the “Kronswarder” and “Sehlendorfer Binnensee” nature reserves. As a result, the town remains small and tranquil, free from the hustle and bustle of mass tourism.

Stroll along the promenade that runs right past the house, or enjoy your time taking long walks on Hohwacht’s white sandy beach. Extensive bike rides through the beautiful surroundings are also a must. Here, relaxation is a top priority!

Just a stone’s throw away, water sports enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy: The Ostwind Surf and Sailing School offers a wide range of activities. Or perhaps a round of mini-golf? This course is also right next door. You can rent bicycles from the Tretfix bike rental shop. It’s just a stone’s throw away, too.

Golf fans can enjoy some downtime at the 18-hole course at the Hohwacht Golf Resort, about a 5-minute drive away—a tee shot with a sea breeze. That’s pure relaxation!

You can reach the state capital, Kiel, in about 45 minutes by car. Other excursion destinations include, for example, Weißenhäuser Strand (15 km), Heiligenhafen (30 km), Fehmarn (40 km), Holstein Switzerland with its many inland lakes, or the “Grafenwinkel” region with its romantic castles and country estates. 
Children of all ages can let off steam to their heart’s content at the “Subtropical Water Paradise” in Weißenhäuser Strand or at Hansa-Park Sierksdorf, which is about a 40-minute drive away. 

Numerous restaurants in town, which you can quickly reach on foot or by bike, cater to your culinary needs. Start your day, for example, at the “Strandhotel” across the street with a hearty breakfast buffet (please make a reservation; not included). Nearby shopping options also contribute to an all-around wonderful holiday!

This beautiful holiday complex, built in 2021 and featuring 40 units, is just a few steps from the beach. The units can accommodate 1 to 6 people; all buildings feature an lift, a bicycle storage room, and a parking space. The promenade runs right past the building and is just as inviting for walks as the white sandy beach of Hohwacht. A surf school and a mini-golf course are located in the immediate vicinity. However, the holiday rental’s ideal location isn’t limited to its proximity to the Baltic Sea. Shopping options and numerous restaurants are also within walking distance, ensuring that nothing stands in the way of a thoroughly enjoyable holiday here.
