Simple holiday flat by the sea with pool in Ilia, Peloponnese, Greece

On the western coast of the Peloponnese, about 4 km south of the harbour town of Kyllini and about 3 km northwest of the charming village of Kastro, lies the picturesque area of Psili Rachi, which stretches all the way to the sea. Here, directly above the beach, in a lovely, green setting, you will find the holiday home Ithaka with a wonderful view as far as Zakynthos and Ithaca as well as a communal pool.

The two-storey house has four flats: three on the ground floor and one in the basement (pool level). The basement flat is used by the landlord's family as a holiday home. The two corner flats on the ground floor, each with two bedrooms, are rented out. The middle, smaller studio between the two flats can be booked as a third bedroom to flat 1. It is available for an occupancy of 6-7 persons.

The large garden offers a shared pool of approx. 45 sqm pool (12 x 4m, 1.70m deep, not heatable, in operation from 15 May to 31 October), sun loungers, parasols, an outdoor shower and a BBQ area. A staircase leads directly from the property to the beach.

The simply furnished corner flat Ithaka 1 has a covered balcony with a beautiful view of the sea and the garden with pool. The two bedrooms and the bathroom are accessed from the kitchen/living room. Viewed from the pool, the flat is on the left-hand corner. For an occupancy of 6 or 7 persons, the middle studio with separate entrance is also available. The studio has a bedroom, a bathroom and a small eat-in kitchen.

After a few hundred metres, there is a beach canteen on the beach that caters for the physical well-being of its guests (open from 1 June to 30 September).

A perfect location for those seeking peace and quiet, in a beautiful landscape and directly on the beach, promising guests carefree holidays by the sea. Several fine sandy beaches can be found about 5 km to the south.

Great stay. Very nice, helpful and very hospitable hosts, I highly recommend staying in this beautiful place, especially to those looking for a quiet holiday. Shops and restaurants nearby, a few minutes by car, great restaurant on the beach visible from the apartment - a few minutes walk. I would highly recommend.

The only advantage of the apartment is a terrace overlooking the sea and pool, nothing else. The apartment is furnished in communist-era style, with old and worn-out items (rusty electric stove burners, a brush-painted refrigerator, and a rusty washing machine). The host only showed up on the first of six days. Towels and bed linen weren't replaced, and toilet paper (one roll per stay) wasn't replenished. Overall, it was very poor and I wouldn't recommend it. There was a notice that there was no internet, but that's a bit of a bummer these days.

Welch ein Juwel haben wir da entdeckt: Haus in toller Lage direkt in erster Reihe oberhalb des Kies-Strandes mit einigen Felsen im Wasser, sehr gut zum Schnorcheln geeignet. Nur 4 km südlich (10 Min. mit dem Auto) beginnt ein herrlicher Sandstrand, an dem sich nicht zufällig auch der Robinson-Club u. a. Top-Hotels befinden (gute Parkmöglichkeiten u. selbst im August nicht überfüllt). Großer, sauberer Pool mit tollem Blick über das Meer, Haus mit recht einfacher, aber gut durchdachter Einrichtung, sehr gemütlichen Betten und einer geschützten Terrasse, auf der man jeden Abend wieder einmalige Sonnenuntergänge über dem Meer beobachten kann., W-LAN funktionierte einwandfrei. Auch die Kommunikation über Jassu-Reisen problemlos. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der unten wohnende Gastgeber Saki, sehr freundlich u. zuvorkommend, kümmert sich großartig um seine Gäste. Mehrmals hat er uns mit Gemüse aus seinem Garten versorgt, 1x sogar zum Selberpflücken mitgenommen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Der SCHÖNSTE Spot in Kastro Killini! Jeden Morgen einen Kaffee auf dem Balkon mit einem spektakulären und völlig unverbauten Blick auf den Strand bis zum Leutturm und über das Meer bis Zakynthos und Kefalonia - unglaublich! Nach dem Kaffee erst mal Bahnen ziehen im Pool und nach dem Frühstück über die eigene Treppe zum Meer. Der Strand ist menschenleer und das Wasser herrlich klar und erfrischend. Man braucht unbedingt Wasserschuhe ;-) Das Appartment ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber hat griechischen Charme und ist sehr sauber. Der Vermieter wohnt mit auf dem Grundstück, ist sehr freundlich und vor allem zurückhaltend - man hat den schönen Garten, Ausblick und Pool für sich und die Bewohner des 2. Apartements allein - in unserem Fall Freunde, daher hatten wir das Privat-Nutzungsgefühl Privileg ;-) Der Pool wurde früh morgens vom Vermieter gereinigt, getestet und Frischwasser nachgefüllt: Keine Pronleme mit Infektionen... (ein häufiges Problem südländischer Pools bei Hitze). 5 Minuten fußläufig entfernt ist die schönste Strandbar mit hervorragender Küche sozusagen vor der eigenen Haustür und nach Kastro zum Bäcker, Obst- und Gemüsehändler sowie Supermarkt sind es keine 5 Minuten mit dem Auto. Einfach alles herrlich!!!
