Lots of potential but needs finishing

No smoke detector No carbon monoxide detector No controls for heating Sink in loo not fixed Beds not as described. Double sofa bed I. Bedroom 2 was actually to small single sofas No curtains in property and glass doors plus clear window between both bedrooms. We had to hang sheets over them to get some privacy. Floor under beds had weeks of dust and dirt on it Door to property was a nightmare to lock and unlock and had to call hosts once to do it and it took 5 mins each time to get lock to cooperate Only 4 big plates and two saucepans for a place that sleeps six. Not enough cutlery. We knew there was no WiFi (and it’s in a town so WiFi should be easy) but there was also no TV. The shower has no rails, big step down and slippery. And also water leaked from it. No welcome pack telling you where everything is, no big dustbin in flat and no instructions of where to recycle This flat could be amazing but the finish on it is poor, the paintwork is poorly done. Lots of potential but needs finishing. Not suitable for anyone with disability needs or children No privacy in outside space which was full of rubbish and kids bikes. No facilities in outside space ie chairs. Thankfully we were only sleeping there and out all day and only needed a bed at night. No railings to get onto decking.

Hello Kirsty, thank you for your feedback. We regret that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations, and we would like to provide some clarification. We try to make the layout of properties and amenities as clear as possible when we create our listings, with professional photos taken without using wide-angled lenses, and uploaded without any retouching or filters, so that they are as close to reality as possible. This way, guests can have a clear understanding of what to expect at the property prior to booking. Regarding the heating, each radiator is equipped with a thermostat for individual temperature control. The sleeping arrangements are accurately represented in the listing: the main bedroom has a double bed, and the second room has two single sofa beds, as pictured. For the lock, it functions properly but requires pulling the door handle slightly, which the host explained during check-in. Similarly, the shower works as intended. As for cleanliness, the property is thoroughly cleaned before check-in, and the host reviews the space with guests during their arrival to ensure everything is to their satisfaction. If there were any concerns, they would have been happy to address them during your stay. We also want to note that recycling instructions are provided verbally during check-in, and a trash bin is located just outside the property. We hope you were still able to enjoy your stay.
